Hi All,

Does anyone have any recent experience getting their spouse here from the Philippines?

take a look at: trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class/

and pay attention to the applicants from Philippines or applied through Manila.

Thanks very much!

Getting the NSO certified Marriage certificate has been very laborious !

We filed on Sept 18, 2008 and just got it this past week !

Now we get to wait for the passport as changed, and updated to the new Scannable passport!

Ay yay yay.

Hopefully this goes smooth and we manage to file by the end of Nov...

Thanks !

I'm sponsoring my wife in the Philippines, too.  Would be useful to share information.  We, too, are waiting for the NSO marriage certificate.

Well we got ours after 8 weeks.... Applied Sept 16, 2008 received in Cebu on Nov 6, 2008 and it then took till Nov 18 to reach Canada ( even with FedEx)

However, soon to apply... Apparently we hired the WRONG in immigration lawyer firm here. THey have repeatedly omitted trivial details in our application...

PM me if you like.

But patience is a virtue it seems....
