THERE IS A SAYING THAT FRIDAY THE 13TH IS A BAD LUCK!!!BUT I CAN PROVE IT 'NO' COZ WHEN I WENT TO CITY TODAY PAY MY BILLS AND WENT ON FLIGHT INQURIES I PROCEED TO DHL OFFICE..I DONT KNOW WHY I DECIDED TO GO TO THIS OFFICE. THEN I ASKED THE TELLER IF THIS OFFICE IS THE OFFICIAL COURIER OF CEM THEY REPLIED 'YES' SO I ASKED AGAIN IF THEY CAN CHECK MY PACKAGE!!!!!OH!!!!!MY!!!!!!!!WAS SO SURPRISE.....MY VISA WAS THERE SINCE LAST MARCH 11,2012 ...I WAS SO SHOCK..WHY THEY DID NOT CALL OR TEXT ME..ABA NAG TEXT DAW SILA  EH HINDI KO NARECIEVED TEXT NILA..TAMA NAMAN ANG CELL# KO...GUSTO KUNG MAGALIT PERO OK NA ..HEHEHEHEE....ISSUED MARCH 28..SABAY KAMI NI SUNDAE18 ....   ...VISA HERE NA...WOOOHOOOO!!! ..ECAS IS STILL DM.....

Hi sis, tanong ko naman, minsan lang ba mag send ng letter of request ng mga documents ang CEM? I mean, isang bagsakan lang ba ng request of documents or kada kailangan nilang documents nagsesend sila ng letter of request?  I received an email kasi from them requestting for one documents, eh nag eexpect kasi ako na more than one ang irerequest nila kasi may dependent akong kasama sa application, but it so happened na isang document lang ang nirerequest nila, iam just wondering lang kung ganon ba talaga, one request letter per document, kasi sayang naman yung time kung paisa isa silang mag request ng docs di ba?  hope someone will enlighten me, thanks!

Lahat po ng AOR galing CEM is merong UCI nunmber sa upper leftside ng letter.. Upper right side naman is yung Immigration File#. May barcode po sa ilalim ng UCI and Immigration file#.    UCI and Immigration file# is just a way of the immigration to identify the applicant.. It doesnt mean na DM ka na agad...

yes, ito din ang alam ko na lahat may UCI at file # agad sa AOR pa lang for the applicant's identification lang. i guess meron palang iba na hindi nakaka-receive ng AOR nila kaya nagkaron ng konting confusion but it's all good now.

I AM SO THANKFUL TO MAKSI SHE/HE RECOGNIZED IT..CONFUSING TOO..ACTUALLY, APRIL 11,2012 VISA WAS ARRIVED IN DHL OFFICE NOT.MARCH 11,2012....I NEVER RECIEVED ANY CALL,NOR TEXT MESSAGE OR EVEN DELIVERY FROM THIS OFFICE. Anong AOR ang galing sa CEM na nareceive nyo? Sa pagkakaalam ko PPR ang galing sa CEM na may nakalagay na UCI at Immigration File number.

Kaya ko nasabi na DM na kapag may UCI, dahil nung inisponsor kame ng dad ko napraning din ang sya. Nagseek ng professional help ang dad ko nuon para mainitindihan nya yung process. May major problem kasi yung case namen nuon dahil sa medicals ng kapatid ko at mom ko. Ang advice ng immigration lawyer sa dad ko, magiissue lang ng PPR yung embassy sa stage na ipafinalize na lang yung application. Meaning nadetermine na nila kung approved or rejected ang applicant. Kung approved, makakareceive ka ng PPR. May UCI, may immigration file number. Kung rejected or under investigation pa rin, makakareceive ka pa rin ng letter of notification, WALANG UCI, Immigration File Number lang. Meron chance na binibigay ang CEM like pwede ka nilang tawagan for interview bago sila magdecide kung irereject na ba nila totally yung case mo or hindi.

Based on the OP1-procedure manual Appendix F below in blue color is the template of the AOR.. which I believe most of here refers to AOR/PPR/Appendix A request (Actually in page 4 of the form yung passport & appendix A request)..  

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada, which was received at the Embassy of Canada in Manila on (date).

UCI is just a way by CIC/CEM to identify the applicant... Equating the UCI# with being pre-approved is something that every applicant would want.. but IMO it is not 100% proof the visa will be approved. There are cases where visa are denied even after PPR...  

Im not sure also if having a UCI# means visa is approve or  without UCI# means visa is denied... Unless someone who is denied will say they were not given a UCI#    IMO CIC procedure is much more complicated than that...But nonetheless... like many others here who are waiting, I also set high hopes a PPR request will lead to visa... which in God's grace it turnout good for me since I already got mine.

  Well obviously my wife is not be responsible she lost the COPR already and now don't know what to do OMG she is so irresponsible. So does that mean she can't come here now and we have to do it all over again or what can we do about her losing her COPR

Naku!!!.. Sa dami ng mawawala bakit COPR pa... 
Anyway, you can apply for a true copy of the COPR (IMM5688). Read the link below....

1.) About your Visa they sent, how long do you have in order to use your visa once you received it ?

2.) The permanent resident visa isn't the same as the travel visa, is that correct?

3.) How long do you have until your Visa expires? Do you have to travel certain deadline?

I can answer some of your questions.

1. The visa which will be placed in your passport states the issuance date and expiry date. You must use the visa before it expires. Usually tht date would correspond to a year after you take your medicals or may coincide with the expiration of your passport whichever comes first.

2. Visa is immigrant. The confirmation of permanent residence is different from the visa but will be sent together.

3. Again, you must travel before it expires.  If you dont you would have to reapply.  Validity of visa is case dependent. Some may be given a month some it may be 6 months. It really depends so better to. Check that when you get your visa.
