After the Wedding: make sure to apply for Advanced Endorsement of you Marriage Certificate at the city hall of the place where the marriage took place to be filed at National Statistics Office (NSO) (Fee is around 6CAD). This will be needed for the visa application of your wife since CIC only accept Marriage certificate in NSO Paper. (Note that usual filing of the marriage certificate takes 2-3months, so ask for advanced endorsement). My husband and i had a great time doing all these process together without assistance. Dont get fooled when someone would ask you thousands of pesos to make the process easier. We did it ourselves. Good luck on your upcoming marriage   mrsh hi mrsh, me and my hubby got married last december 11 here in manila, we asked manila city hall on when can we get th marriage certificate at nso and they told us that it would take 6 months, we asked them if there's an easy way and they told us they can't do anything about that.. can you help us on hoe to get the advance endorsement? thank you |

I would not suggest changing your address because it is there where you actually lived most of the time as listed in your personal history. You can just visit or send somebody to the post office to check undelivered mails once a week. In 2 or 3 times that you go there, staff will be familiar with you and take care of your mails. try to develop acquaintance with some people in the post office. Anywhere you stay, you can not also be sure that you will be there during deliveries. Happy new year! |

ecas will only show processing start date for the sponsored person, and the summary "in-process". The next entry will be after getting the visa/copr, wherein the summary will show "complete". Acknowledgments will show on sponsor's ecas, if ever. That is why send your pport thru courier so you have a receipt/proof that you sent it. Approval of sponsorship will appear on sponsor's ecas as "decision made". |

Hello, got an update yesterdays from my hubbys E-CAS, from "application received" to "in process" We received your application for permanent residence on August 24, 2011. We started processing your application on December 28, 2011. Medical results have been received. The CEM received my husbands PP Dec. 2 but they started processing it on the 28th, God is good... so happy |
