Thank you mrs. vip!

1. Take LTO Certificate with DFA sticker
2. Bring all my original documents ( In case the officer will ask some proof of my identity or for my future reference in my application)
3. Go to Service of Canada for SIN application
4. Go to the Bank to open my new account
5. Go to the Service of Canada for OHIP
6. Apply my Driving License (If I am ready in the written test hehehe)

pwede ka na mag apply ng SIN agad but for the OHIP hindi pa pwede kase may doc na need nila you need a bank statement kase ung address mo kailangan nila dapat nag stay ka muna here for 3months
kaya aadivice-san ka lang nila na after 3months saka ka magapply ng OHIP once na naka apply ka na may ibibgay sayo na paper and un muna gagamitin mo if ever mag papahospital ka kase

anyway ilang weeks ka na here? kung wala pang 3 months you should get insurance muna meron naman ung 30cad a month eh sulit naman un kase mahal magpacheck-up dito lalo na ngayon tag lamig
after 3 months pa kase pwede mag apply ng health card..

ung mga pupunta dito ng winter and medjo sakitin or mabigla body mas ok kung kuha kayo ng insurance here meron naman mura dito kase mahal magpacheck up dito
hindi pa kase pwede kumuha ung kakaland lang atleast 3months dapat nakapagstay here then saka na pwede mag apply ng Health Card ung mga new immigrant
and dala kayo vitamins para inumin niyo dito kase mas marami ata nagkakasakit ng winter kase nga lamig init lalo na pag may work.. suggestion lang naman Smiley

Hi nester,

I was able to get this sa East Ave LTO.  You file it sa LTO, then claim it sa DFA.  If I remember right, release is after 7 days. mabilis lang ang sa East Ave filing. you just fill out a form then pay. i forget how much i paid. parang 100 lang ata or a bit more but definitely less than 500.

hope that helps.

yung sa PRC and school records DFA authenticated, any idea pls?
I get my visa.thanks again.

I have a question for all members is now living in Ontario.

I want to be get ready once I will be arriving in Ontario.
In my knowledge that I can apply for my OHIP from the time I get landed, However there is waiting 3 months period before I will get the card.

I want to apply my SIN card and OHIP card at the same time in order for my husband will take 1 day off only to help me to process my SIN and OHIP.

Please let me know what other documents I have to bring besides my Passport and Landing Paper.
I do reserch online they need Proof of Residency (EX: Bills, Tax Assessment, Driver License etc..) but I am new comer what I have to present to them.

Please advise.

Thank you for your help!

 @  MGM

sa ohip mo ask the bank to mail you a bank statement, kasi they have specific list sa OHIP to accept.. kahit na anung letter from the bank na may address ka na hindi kasali sa specific list they wont accept it..

ganyan din ako nung nag apply ako sa OHIP ang advice sa akin just gather all the documents needed wag mag rush kasi kahit sino naman daw hindi makaka kuha agad agad ng mga documents needed sa OHIP...

Guys/Gals,  I need your second opinion concerning our situation... Please bear with my post as this is quite long.

We asked the help of our close friend in Canada to inquire the status of our application using a toll free number. He called the toll free number and a computerized customer service answered... According to our friend the visa is already been approved based on the information given by the computerized customer service. And the visa is in Manila office already. Our friend tried calling the customer service representative to clarify the information he received but he can't get through the line. He waited for 30mins.  He told us he will call again most likely on Thursday or Friday when the line is not busy.

Now, here is our situation. Before this information, we received an email from CEM last week asking my sponsor (who is currently living with me since Dec. 2006) to submit a document(s) that will satisfy the VO that he will return to Canada BEFORE or when I become a permanent resident.  Once the VO is satisfied, the VO will  proceed to continue processing our application.

The information given by our friend is conflicting with the information given by CEM. How can the visa be approved if CEM hasn't started processing our application yet?  Huh  Huh
Is it possible the VISA in reality is approve but CEM intentionally do not want to disclose this information to us until they receive and feel satisfied with the information they are requesting us concerning  the return of my sponsor to Canada?   Roll Eyes

Our 2nd problem is this. The Canadian passport of my sponsor (Fil-Canadian) just expired last month. He cannot return to Canada even if he wants to. He cannot apply to renew his passport as he's still waiting for the replacement of his citizenship card that was lost a few months ago.  So technically, It is impossible for him to return to Canada as early as possible unless the Canadian Consulate is willing to provide a temporary or emergency passport.

CEM have given us until next week to provide the documents that will demonstrate the intention of my sponsor to return to Canada. However, having mentioned our situation above we can only provide to them the expired Canadian passport and the application for citizenship card renewal.   These documents will show that my sponsor cannot return to Canada even if he wants to.

I can only assume the following based on our situation;

1. The V.O officer will suspend the processing of our application until my sponsor receive his new passport and return to Canada.
2. The V.O. upon hearing and understanding our situation and finding the effort of renewing the passport and citizenship card of my sponsor as
enough evidence to show the willingness to return to Canada & will thereby waive the additional information and approve the visa.
(this is a long shot.. but who knows.. anything is possible.  Wink Wink )
