Hi wants...as far as I know you have to stay for at least 3 years...its part of the requirements to be citizen someday...basta I've read info about that..all permanent VISA holder must stay for at least 3 - 5 years...I will send you the details when I got home dito ako office...meron ako printed materials about CANADA policy sa house...

ang sa pagkakaalam ko. u have to be in Canada and accumulate 2 years of stay in a 5 year period. pwede ka nasa labas ng bansa in the other 3 years. Ako, once we landed in canada, i stayed for 6 months then balik ako sa work ko sa Singapore. Kabbalik ko lng ngaun sa Cnada. I have been outside of the country for 1 year and 6 months.

Basta dapat  daw ma accumulate mo yung 3 years of stay in a span of 5 years.
Sabi ng hubby ko, you can be out of Canada as PR at a maximum of 6 months.

That is the old law. 2 years na out of a 5 year period. I stayed outside Canada for more than a year, and now kababalik ko lng.

What is the residence requirement?
To be eligible for Canadian citizenship, you must have lived in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) out of the four years (1,460 days) preceding your application. Please note that you cannot meet the residence requirements for citizenship without a minimum of two (2) years as a permanent resident.

Hi Sis! Di ako nag-send ng letter when I sent my passport last week kasi I forgot about that. Do you think its still best to send them a letter?

Based sa mga advise sa akin dito.. its better to inform them as they can easily know about it in their system. If we did not inform them about the failed TRV, they might question it as to why we did not mention it in our application. God forbid.. it might be a ground for refusal for the reason of misrepresentation. HOWEVER,  IF you mentioned the TRV in the background declaration or personal history I think there is no problem.

Misrepresentation under A40 of ENF01 says. " for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating
to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of the Act"

here are some of the advise by other forumers;

from Canadianwoman:
If you didn't tell them about the failed TRV attempt, the visa officer would most likely find out (they can easily check if you have applied before), and then that would be a problem. The visa officer will see no reason for you to have not mentioned it, except a bad reason. It would be seen as one reason to refuse the PR application. So sending the letter explaining about it before the interview is the best option now. Just explain why you didn't mention it before.

The fastest way is through dropbox in CEM basement 4.  OR through courier if you live too far.

Oo, para syang may Indian features eh, deep set eyes.
Actually nagulat kami kasi di expected na sasali sya ng ganyang pageant
sobrang simple lang nya.  She graduated Magna Cheesy and top one sa arki boards.

(sorry off topic hahaha)
