Hi Sis tine...marikina area ko..di pa rin dating sa akin...si Sis Dors laguna din sya she got her VISA nitong tuesday...3 days lang pagitan natin since she got DM..hopefully this week..DHL nagdala sa kanya...parating na rin sayo sis...Nakapag-pa book na ako nitong July pa ...Oct.10 tentative flight namin anak ko...$779/each 1 stop flight via Cathay Pacific..

Alam ko sis red may discount pa pag first time immigrant.. Just present your passport na may PDOS sticker to the travel agent and I think bibigyan ka nila discount.. By batch ata pagpapadala sa DHL e.. Hopefully nga makuha natin this week.. Kala ko pag within Manila area saglit lang pero di din pala.. Like si Destino Paranaque siya pero 9 days din after nya na DM dumating yung visa.. Toronto ka din ba?

I read from another forum dont know if true.. everytime your making follow-up on the status of your application... they log/record how many follow-ups was made on the application and tag it.. Im not sure if this will cause further delays in processing the application.  I hope not.. cause i made 2 inquiries at CEM asking for status.    

It is true Raniloc,they put in notes in your file every time you call them....what infos they gave you,what was the call/inquiry all about......if you call the CIC 1-888 number di ba sasabihin naman sa iyo na they will record the conversations and it's up to you to say otherwise.

hello everyone !!bago lang ako dito and being in this forum help me a lot!!im about to go to the canadian embassy sa manila bukas to follow up?posible ba to ano ba dapat ko asahan o kailangan dalhin para i follow up application ko miss na miss ko na asawa ko hay!!

march 28,2011 application sent
April 11,2011 letter from the embassy  receive plus another letter requesting for my passport,appedix a and another original police clearance    from norway since the police clearance i have submitted already expired.
May 24 2011 submitted all the additional documents and passports through the rcbc basement drop box.....
june until now waiting waiting and waiting!!!!!!

Hi Sis Arianne. tumawag na ako DHL wala pa daw nakaregister na name ko...nag-try din ako FedEx hanapin daw nila then send sila SMS sa akin...LBC na lang try ko...sana nga this week...para maka-gawa na ako mga dapat gawin...haaayyyy

confirm ko lang di ba pwede naman mag seminar kahit wala pa visa basta canadian citizen and husband?...divorce c hubby any idea anu ang requirments namin..salamat poh..at saka my idea kau how much all in all ang magagasto pg jan sa manila nag simenar..im from visayas poh..salamat...

You may avail of the Guidance and Counseling Session even while you are still processing or waiting for your visa. If such is the case, you will only be issued the GCC...Guidance and Counseling Certificate. Once your visa is released, you will return to CFO to continue with your registration. The CFO sticker will then be affixed on your passport.You will pay a fee totaling PhP 650.00. The PhP 250.00 is paid as counseling fee at SMEF-COW or PRISM while the PhP 400.00 is for registration at the CFO.


With regards to your hubby being divorced,CEM will ask you/him to present the divorce papers.

  "We received your application for permanent residence on May 12, 2011"

But sa PPR letter it says
    "Application for permanent residence was received at the Embassy of Canada in manila on May 17, 2011".

which is which? ;(

Hi sis CAN_ada..pwede ka naman umattend seminar kahit wala pa VISA mo just bring the necessary requirements...I guess 650 ata lahat ng fees...look for nearest CFO office to your area para di ka na lumuwas ng Manila sayang magagastusan ka pa...

1.Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph;
2.Duly completed guidance and counseling form;
3.If married, certified true copy and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office, or Local Civil Registry Offices; or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/ Consulate (if married abroad)
4.Other documents as may be required by the counselors; and
5.Payment of P250.00 counseling fee.

I just read this from another forum but im not sure if the information is reliable or not...

They said, you will know if the  "Decision Made" is positive or negative by counting the number of days past after DM in ecas to the day when you received the visa.    

The reason behind, is the visa package is delivered via DHL or courier in an average of 3 to 6 days..  and the REFUSAL letter is allegedly sent via normal postal mail ( Is this true? ) The quicker you receive the visa, it is likely a positive DM.... If its longer let say 2-3 weeks it is probably a negative DM.  ( how about those from the province? )

AGAIN, im not sure if this information is true...  so for those who already received their visa..

Also to answer your other post.
Yes and No. Of course everytime you call, email, or visit it log into your file. If you keep bugging the Visa office and/or officer. They may decide not you process you. But in general that is not the case.

They also WARN you not to bother them, until certain time period has passed. As normal process for application as per 2006(or 2008 I forgot) is 9 months.

I have been reading this website for while, but never registered to till now.

The reason your application has not been processed yet, but others have.
Is because you did NOT read the Guide or Webpage. Others that have file or going file should as well.....

IF you do not PAY the full amount when you file. And split the payments, your application will be DELAYED up to 2months MIN or MORE.

You are told this many times, on Webpage, IN the Guide, AND when you Apply as Sponsor, it warns you again.

So for people that going do this process. If you do not have full amount of money at the time, you should wait til you do.
As it will be delayed 2months, some have been delayed an extra 6months.

If you are not sure your sponsor will be approved, you have the option to have all the money - $75 and application returned.
98% of all sponsors are approved tho.

It's both. On May 17, 2011 it was pass in the Visa Officer in Manila Office.
