Hi guys. just want to ask something, an advice.

I am currently waiting for my passport to be returned, ECAS was updated last february 14 to COMPLETE. I still don't know what the decision is because there is a chance that it won't be as good as i hope it would be, right? So anyway, is it right for me to decide to finally resign in my current work and just wait for my visa... Like, i'm 90% sure it's positive, so there's still this 10% doubt that it's not going to be good news... I want to resign now so that when the visa came, i can just go immediately without any problems of thinking about certificates and stuff,...

Finally, My partner and I submitted our application last Feb. 13, 2011 through DHL courier.  The package weight is 1KG.
We submitted all kinds of evidence (from 2007 to 2010 ) that show we are in common-law relationship.  The package is now delivered to CPC-M.  

I hope they can process our papers in less than 6 months. The Canadian passport of  my partner will expire this September and he needs to return back to Canada to renew. He loss loss his citizenship card so he cannot renew his passport in the Canadian Embassy here in Manila. Im worried, what if our application is approve and they requested for a personal interview after 7 or 8 months.  By that time, my partner is no longer here in Manila. He's back in Canada for his passport renewal.  

Will this scenario post a problem in our application?

100% sure good news, u know why? kasi kung deny ka hindi agad agad fair naman ang immigration pwede ka nila hingan pa ng proofs hanggang ma prove mo and pwede ka pa mag undergo ng interview, pero kung DM ka na sure na yan 100%. kung ako sayo pasa ka na ng resignation kung meron kayo 30days waiting period and then para maayos mo agad yun dapat ayusin. yun hubby ko last jan20 pa sya resign

Im sorry are u in same sex? usually same sex are required for interview, but in spouse and common law they go further interview if they are not satisfied in the relationship, but some of us did not go for interviews and we got our visa below the processing time. Just incase they have requested you guys for interview the applicant are the only one who will need to undergo for interview.

hello po... sana po mabigyan nio po kami ng opinion regarding po sa status ng application po namin, medyo bother lang po kc kami ng hubby ko, nagpost po ako a few days ago ung about po sa payment po ng resident fee namin. naforward na po kc dito sa Manila embassy ung cnfirmation ng resident fee namin last Jan.20 na base po sa mississauga nung naginquire po ang hubby ko dun.

may idea po ba kau mga how long po namin wait ung visa to be issue, plan ko na din po kc magresign sa work and if ma-issue po ang visa, plan po namin ng hubby ko na fly kami ng daughter ko by April.

Magulo kc ang name ng mother ko, iba ang name nya s birth certificate ko (Carolina) sa pasport nya, which is Maria Carolin. Actually, sa aming magkakapatid, me discrepancy talaga ang name nya, including her last name, sa aking birth cert e Cortez while s iba kong kapatid e Cortes.

My question is, ano ba ang dapat kong ilagay na name nya? Sa birth certificate ko and sa marriage certificate nmin ng husband ko e Carolina ang nakalagay. Yun ba dapat ang gamitin ko? Pano kung gusto nming invite sya magvisit, iba name nya sa passport nya? Will it be possible to invite her even if iba name nya sa passport?

hi che! pwede mo naman pacorrect ung name ng mother mo sa birth cert mo,just go to your municipal hall at the civil registrar and ask for the requirements.i'm sure ung gnamit na name ng mother mo sa passport nya ay un din ung sa birth cert nya. i advice you to do it now kc it takes 2-3 mths for the correction.

tama c foreverlove ayusin mo sa munisipyo, actually we the same situation MA. naman ang mother ko hehe... lahat kame mag kakapatid Yolanda lang ang nakalagay supposed to be Ma. Yolanda so ginawang mother ko inayos nya sa Munisipyo 1k each yata. then mga 3 months nga then ccorrect lang nila yun then ipapasa sa NSO para ma authenticate ang updated e yung may note na sa baba na corect name ng mother mo. gawin mo na ngaun pa update mo n ang birth cert mo. then kung ipapasa nyo na ng march sa forms mo ilagay mo ang tamang name nya w/c is MARIA CAROLINA then yun birth cert mo mag pa affidavit ka na name ng mom mo e MARIA CAROLINA na iisa lang yun tao na yun then attach mo lang un Birth cert mo. then kung ok na yun updated birth cer mo. saka mo ngaun ipasa sa manila pag nasa manila na yung papers mo sumulat ka ng letter na nag attached ka ng updated birth certificate mo. para hindi sila malito gawa kang letter explain mo kung bakit ka nag attached ng affidavit.

hindi po ako makapag sabi ng exact kung kelan kasi case to case po ang process like saken 3 months lang yun sa hubby ko kasi wala naman naging problema isang beses lang sya naka receive sa manila ng letter yung PPR nga  nung Jan4 then na DM sya ng Feb 8 then dumating visa nung feb17. wala naman kasi kulang na kaya mabilis. tumatagal talaga ang papers kung incomplete ang pinasa mo and kung d sila satisfied hihinge pa sila ng proof. ano ba ang timeline mo? lagi ko nga sinasabi maraming sabit mas matagal u know what i mean like pag yung isa eh may dating asawa bubusisiin pa nila yun madami questions need nila history so kaya natagal, yung iba naman hiwalay sa unang asawa tapos may anak yung custody naman ang nagiging problema, kung kulang naman papers mo yun din ang isa nag papatagal kasi bago pa sila mag response e months ang tinatagal, and kung hindi pa sila satisfied sa proof hihinge pa sila ng proof, kung galing nman sa ibang bansa kailangan naman ng police clearance sa country na pinangalingan e minsan matagal kumuha nun like yung iba 6 months kaya dun palang natagal na. kaya dapat before ipasa yung mga ganung bagay pag iisipan na imean lahat ng pwede ipasa ipasa na, yung possible na hihingen ibigay na para isang buklatan nalang sila kung sa tingen mo eh meron ka pa hindi na sama sa history mo ipasa na hehe.. ako from the start na nag pasa detalyado talaga kasi single mom ako ng nag punta d2 naiwan ko ang dadi ng baby ko dpa kame kasal kaya full detailed na ginawa ko kung bakit d sya nakasama samen ganun. explain lang maige kung sa tingen mo naman eh complete na sau mabilis nalang din yan. gudluck sayo

Eto po ung timeline namin:

August - Submitted our application package without the payment for resident fee..

September - Started processing from Mississauga

October - processing in Manila (request for passport and personal history as well as the Advisory of Marriage

November - Request again for Advisory of Marriage through email, mali po kc ang naibigay ko embassy coz nagkaron po ako ng cofusion regarding sa Marriage Cert and Advisory of Marriage. That month, naipass ko na din po ung advisory of marriage na hinihingi ng embassy. Kaya po delay na agad application namin.

December - requested for the payment of resident fee through online payment (Canada).. Dec.19,2010 paid the resident fee.  The following day pass na po ni hubby ung receipt sa Mississauga.

January - i got a letter from embassy Manila that they are requesting for the payment of resident fee.. because of this confusion, since my hubby paid it last december, my hubby called CIC-M to verify the payment, and they told hubby that Jan.20, they already forwarded the confirmation to Manila. I also sent a copy of the receipt here in Manila Embassy.

February - waiting for the issuance of visa..

So far la naman po hinigi na ibang papers smin ang embassy except for the advisory of marriage and personal history form coming from them.. sana nga po dumating na ang visa this february para po makaresign na me sa work and we are planning by April po kami fly ng daughter ko.
