HEY guys,

i applied for spouse sponsership last year in april 2010 in berlin and i have done all the requirements like medical exam and police stuff.But its been 13 months and i have no answer from high commision of canada in Berlin.i really dont know what to do .i have written so many time to canadian office in berlin and they have always advised me to wait as its in process and background checks are underway.Can you guys tell me what to do in this case to have at least a bit of knowledge whats going on and why is it taking that long? thanks in advance

You can ask your MP to help you. Some won't do anything, but others are very helpful. However, if your MP is one of the new, 'surprise' winners of the recent election, and has no experience in politics, I wouldn't bother asking them, since they won't know what to do.
