Spousal Support or stucking with walfare and Gov Housing?

Hi everyone

i am 21yrs old married to canadian man since 2008 he sponsored me just couple months after marriage, after he abused me sexualy and catched him cheating with another woman he kicked me out in Dec of 2009 so i called police for him and got arrested and we still have a court going on
because i am alone here the police took me to a woman shelter and lived there for a year untill i got housing from Gov and Walfare now i applied for Legal Aid to get Spousal support because i cant bear the way i live now and how my life becomes misrable. we are still legaly married but separate for a year and half
i live in very small dirty Apt no Heat and no AC i want to go back to College to get a better career but i just cant afford so many things
he is a real estate agent also works in the bank.
i am wondering how many percentage i can get from Spousal support with no child because if its going to be less than walfare then i am just gonna stay in housing so i want to know shall i give away walfare+housing or getting spousal support?
