My hubby, a Canadian Citizen is sponsoring my PR application. We sent our application to Bufalo on 12/2010. Application started processing on 1/2011. His part of the sponsorship was approved. My part of the application was sent back to me 2/2011 and I requested  a file transfer to POS in 3/2011. Buffalo sent me an email in receipt of my file anf file transfer on 30/3/11 (that they will x-fer my file to POS). We are now in August and I have heard nothing in regards to my application for PR. I checked my application status online and it says sponsorship application status-decision made (since Hubby is elegible to sponsor me). However. PR application status-not available. Hubby and I sent CIC an email in regards to our application. We are waiting on a response.

Does anyone have an idea of how long this process will take? Also, when an application status is not available, does that mean POS has not viewed my application yet?

Unfortunately it's a waiting game with immigration  Sad
Some applicants will get their PR faster than others...who knows why?!  A few of us on the Buffalo thread have been trying to figure that one out...no luck yet.
I sent in my application in late January and still no word.  We (hubs and I) did send an email last week to inquire the status, but we received a 'generic' response.
Keep your hopes up...something will come through for you soon! There are a few of us on your same boat, so you're not alone.
Check out the Buffalo thread and/or the Buffalo spreadsheet: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?authkey=CLSRv0c&pli=1&hl=en&key=tSwhpbL3i0FEVj1Fw4efAcg&hl=en&authkey=CLSRv0c#gid=0

Thanks for your response.

The waiting game is on and I am being extremely patient.  However I think you misunderstood me a bit. I had a file x-fer from Buffalo to POS (Trinidad). I don't think I can contact the Buffalo office in regards to my application anymore. POS never contacted me in response to receipt of my file via Buffalo. In fact, I have heard nothing from them. As I check my application status online for PR. It states not available whereas sponsorship application status has decision made which means hubby has been approved to sponsor me. As a I read the forums, some folks have in-process and vice versa so what does that mean? POS have not even viewed my file yet? Have they even received it? IDK...I feel a bit lost here :-(

May I know why your file has been transferred?

Hubby sent my file to Buffalo when he was supposed to send it to the Visa Office of my home country which is POS. I later requested that my file be sent to POS.

Thanks for your response. I wish this process was faster. I'm hoping POS will update online status soon.
