hi - it says that u can sponsor one distant relative(uncle/aunt/nephew) etc if u have not sponsored spouse. what happens if u sponsor them first and obtain the approval in 1 month, and then submit spouse sponsorship. will both applications then go through or they have validations in place?

No, it actually says:

Note: you can sponsor one relative regardless of age or relationship only if you do not have a living spouse or common-law partner, conjugal partner, a son or daughter, parent, grandparent, sibling, uncle, aunt, nephew or niece who could be sponsored as a member of the family class, and you do not have any relative who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident or registered as an Indian under the Indian Act.

Just having a relative you could sponsor, like a spouse or living parents or having any relative in Canada will stop you from sponsoring the "one other relative" under the federal system.  However, if you live in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, you would have options to sponsor relatives there under the PNP.

Has her bankruptcy been discharged yet? I believe it is only undischarged bankruptcies that are a block to sponsorship.

A spousal petition won't be approved without an approved sponsorship petition first.

My wife got bankrupt and moreover she is jobless. she can sponsor me??? or what will happen if i continue my application with out sponsorship approval in first step.. please help.

No - it won't. You can even be on EI.

However avoid social assistance/welfare as this will affect the sponsorship application (you cannot sponsor if you are on social assistance).

Hi there!  Could you please add me to the spreadsheet?  My husband and I sent our app to Mississauga on March 22, and it arrived there this afternoon!!!  Now all we have to do is wait.  Hopefully it gets approved and sent off to Buffalo without a hitch.

Thanks!

Hi everyone! Smiley

I just want to clarify regarding with the date they asked In SPONSOR QUESTIONNAIRE, Q# 9 on what date you become a permanent resident? (the date) and Q# 10 Were you yourself sponsored to come to Canada. Yes.When? ( the date), are they the same?
I mean the date when i come (landed) to Canada is the date were i become a permanent resident?

Thank you guys in advance...GOD BLESS !!!
