What happens if the tourist visa can be submitted and approved much before the spousal sponsorship application is submitted?
Would there be any issues if applicant stays in Canada (for an outland application), during the initial days of spousal evaluation??

Thanks

Hi All.

My wife filed our case on January 19, 2012 at CHC in Misissagua. She was approved on April 13, 2012 and I also recieved a letter on April 20, 2012 to send in my Passport in to New Delhi . I am currently on a student Visa in London England where i have been studying for past year. Our case is getting processed in new Delhi. I sent my passport in on April 23, 2012. Today, i recieved a letter stating i have an interview on July 24, 2012. I emailed CHC in delhi asking for my passport, and my wife also called the CHC in misissagua. My wife and myself already had plans to go to india on July 11, 2012, so she will be with me. Im just asking for any suggestions on what to do. Should i be worried?

Additional Information:

My wife and myself are both only 19. We are of Hindu religion. We had a court marriage in Scotland this past decemeber. My wifes older sister is married to my older brother, so both sisters are married within the same family. We have known eachother for 3 years now. i tried 2 times for canadian student visa, so i could be closer to her but got rejected both time:(.. My Wife works for the Government of Manitoba, department of justice, and she just bought a house in Canada. Our case is quite strong. We sent approx. 200 pictures with all family members, We sent phone bills and chat logs.

My Canadian boyfriend got cold feet and "wanted some space"..(how much more space does he need when we are already like 4000 miles apart?)  Shocked

But hey, you know what? During these months when travelling back and forth to Canada I have fallen in love with Canada.
And I am going to apply under skilled worker, damn, I can do it on my own! Canada already seems like my 2nd home.
Rome was not built in a day, so  have to be patient. But I wish good luck to you, all happy couples. I was very in love with my Canadian boyfriend and was devastated for such a long time. Now I am finally rising from my dark cave.

Hey Scandinavian,

Good for you! Good luck to you for the application, and for your boyfriend - it's his loss! :-) it will take time, but I hope you succeed!
Keep on the great attitude!
best,

Hey all you pro out there, question for you?

According to the CIC-M call centre agent my file was transferred to NEW DELHI VO on the 12th of june, just so let you know my application was received on march the 9th.
I have the UCI number and i also have the file number though i cant check my status on ECAS, its been 6 days now that i am not able to get any info with the help of the UCI code or the file number...
Is anyone else having the same problem, do they not update the ECAS on regular basis....can anyone guide me on how the process work when it comes to ECAS.....

Thanks

Only 6 days? It takes a while for mail to get from CIC-M to ND so I'd give it at least two weeks before trying to get into ECAS. And it's not updated regularly at all.

What are the requirements for a multiple entry tourist visa versus single entry visa? how important is it to get an invitation letter for both cases? what are the chances of getting multiple entry visa?

Thanks
