1) While applying for spousal sponsorship, can the spouse visit Canada? which visa is safe if spouse is not employed in Canada? would the visa be multiple entry or single entry?

- very few people had luck getting visitor visas after you applied for spousal sponsorship. It's tricky to convince the immigration officer that your spouse is travelling to canada as a visitor (which basically means she'll travel back). So, you might want to check your case. It's a different case if your spouse belongs to a visa exempt country

2) I understand that the medicals for spousal sponsorship is done and submitted along with the application package. The medical practitioner told me that the medicals would be submitted directly to the embassy and is not given in hand. What happens if the medical reports reach much before; a month or more before the application is submitted? pl. advice..

- medicals will go sit at a centralized location. your respective VO will request for the medicals from that location when they start processing the application. so, you don't have to worry about that
Thanks

What happens if the tourist visa can be submitted and approved much before the spousal sponsorship application is submitted? Would there be any issues if applicant stays in Canada (for an outland application), during the initial days of spousal evaluation??

There is a list of approved Designated Medical Practitioners (DMPs) on the CIC website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx

You may use anyone from this list, but the person you use must come from this list.

When there is not enough space to answer a question, do you put the complete answer on a seperate sheet? Or a part of the answer on the question form and the rest on a seperate sheet?

What is better?

Hi guys, i went to the interview at Etobicoke Office yesterday, and I like to share with you guys, the interview was "OK", we stay together all the time, she asked couple questions, easy questions, and looked the documents i provided (joint bank accounts, Mortgage, Utility bills, extra photos), to make the long story short, my wife (the sponsor) she had a 2 years previous marriage, and divorced 5 months after she got the PR, because his ex-husband committed adultery, she caught him with another woman and she didnt accepted that! The officer asked direct to my wife's face! Do you married to get status in Canada? My wife said NOT! and she asked to my wife to explain why she divorced so fast! My wife explained to her all the issues of the adultery, everything!! she said ok, i dont have more questions, you guys can go and wait for the letter with my decision! I don't know what is gonna happen, the only thing I know is my file was transfered because of my wife's previous marriage! Have you guys know similar situation and what was the decision from them?!
Hey Guys, my wife's ECAS got some update today!!

We received your application to sponsor Xxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx on January 10, 2011.

We started processing your application on December 9, 2011.

We transferred your application to the CIC Etobicoke office on December 9, 2011. The CIC Etobicoke office may contact you.

We sent you a letter on June 14, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

What you guys think? Just AIP or both?  Shocked

Please help. I am being sponsored by my wife who is a nurse working already in Canada. We applied for permanent residency, and September 2011 we were asked to do the medicals. We did and the results were posted by the authorised medical practitioners in October. Since then (8 Months now)we have not heard from CIC. worst of all i cant seem to check the progress online. (it just keeps saying based on the info i have provided, no information could be given). we wrote an email to Buffalo where it was being processed an they replied that it had been sent to Seattle. We have written to Seattle, but no response for a month now. Is this Usual, please advice.

write where the question is asked: See attached page for complete answer.
Attach the page with the applicants name and date of birth, answer to question number x...z behind the form.

The risk of putting part of the answer in the space is that the visa officer will not read your supplemental answer.  Thus, by putting it on a separate page in its entirety, and saying "see attached" in the application body, you maximize the chance that the visa officer will read your entire answer.
