To pinayako,

Kamusta?

If you are in Canada & will send your application at CPC Vegreville i think xpresspost envelope should be good. The big one is $23 something i think. Hope it helps

I sent mine in 2 bubble wrap envelopes. There was no problem and they received it just fine. Just make sure you label them properly (e.g. 1 of 2 / 2 of 2  envelopes)...hope this helps...

To pinayako,

I just bought a xpresspost prepaid envelope. I think the big one is $23 or $30 bucks. But I organized the application forms first i.e. application to sponsor, etc. in a regular white envelope & label them, another white plain envelope for application for PR etc & I label them again, another plain white envelope for supporting document i.e. lease or mortgage agreement, joint savings account stuff, the tax thing from revenue canada & pictures ( I paste them in a letter paper & put a caption ), his letter on how your relationship grow, proof of medical, NBI, photocopies of document reuired. & label them again.
One Xpresspost prepaid envelope should be good enough for all of those.

Sana nakatulong ito sa iyo Smiley

Hello,
I am sponsoring my husband from outside Canada.

Medical done 7 November 2011.
Application received on 16 December 2011.
Sponsor approved and file send to VO on 8 February 2012.
VO is Bucharest, Romania (official processing time 6 months) Nothing for same time.
Then Status Changed on 11 may 2012 to "medical received".
Since Then nothing....

I was wondering what will be next:'
- in process
- they will send the letter asking for the passport
- DM
And after you see in your file " medical received" until next step how long is the waiting?

Thank you for your help.
Short waiting time to all of us.

This spousal sponsorship thing is way to complicated. We're trying to do it ourselves as we don't have alot of extra cash floating around. Just found out that my husbands medical in Massachusetts is going to cost him $400.00 dollars, and from what I've read he needs to get medicals for his children even though he doesn't have custody of them, just in case he wants them to come to Canada at a later date. If they don't get there medicaks done they won't be able to come. We just got married May 19th 2012 in Masaachusetts and i'm already back home in Canada trying to figure this all out. Please someone help.

Yes, his children do need the medicals done and the only way to get out of that is that if the mother of the children has full custody and flat out refuses the medicals and this needs to be proven and documents because immigration Canada does not want children left behind unless it is for a good reason.  Not getting the medicals for the children means he can never sponsor them.  If their mother dies or they grow up and want to leave their mother and live with their father, it will not be possible unless they get the medicals now.

However, he could probably save on his medicals if he gets them done in Canada.  I have heard they are more expensive in the US.
