Hi, I am going to see a lawyer next week about getting a TRV for my wife and want to ask if there is any way that this attempt would have a negative impact on her PR application, which is waiting for interview at the time. Thanks.

Thanks Charlie... If his address has been switched to yours, and you have not had an interview, all is well. Wait for mail or email from them with instructions on how to submit your passport pages, that is all they need from visa-exempt persons. They will send the COPR via mail.

what category did you apply?
I applied last Oct. 2010 got my landed last May 9,2012,inland application under family sponsorship..I took longer bec. I have daughter overseas and it took longer to finish her documents and medical..
hopefully you will get it now...

hey guys, I need your opinion. My wife and I want to include with her Passport & Appendix A a few more things that would help make our application stronger. Reason is we applied in January and I actually stayed with her in the philippines all the way til May 2, so we have new photos and activities we want to document and send to CEM, kinda like an update on what's happened that was not included with the original application.
Is that acceptable? Do you think they will appreciate it? thx guys pls give me your opinion and have a nice weekend

hi.. i have submit my application on 29 Jan 2012 & Sponsorship Approved on 30/04/2012 but till date am not receipt of any updates from Visa Office . i have observe tht some application forwarded to ND VO ON 1/05/2012 & they got PPR ON 11/05/2012 n i am still waiting..
Can Anybody Help Me ? how long i have to wait ??

Does Canadian Immigration update your status once your passport has been received? My husband submitted his passport as requested in Feb, and we haven't heard anything yet. I'm just nervous that his passport wasn't received.

Hi Leon. Our application has been approved last May 8th and i was advised that the documents been forwarded to CIC-Manila. My spouse had a previous marriage.When we filed our application, we submitted a copy of the court finality of the annulment.Please note also that we got married in Ontario and submitted a copy of the marriage certificate. My questions are: will they really require that cenomar or advisory on marriage?, will the ontario certificate suffice?...

Has anyone went to the Detroit office and dropped off their passports? I am under a time crunch and traveling between the US and Canada and need my passports. I can take them there and pick them back up in 10 days. Do they give you your copr when you pick them up or does that still come in the mail? Is it hard to get in once you get there? Any info would be appreciated !

I did sponser my wife .she is living in India and m in Canada.file recived dec 20,2011,medical has already recived, she has sent her passport to ammbancy 13 feb 2012.plz tell me if u know how long time we will have to wait for visa?

Hi Guys!!!! I have another query. Me and my Canadian fiance are getting married here in the Philippines this year. I decided that I want it to be a very simple,private ceremony and with just a friend or two as a witness. I won't be inviting any of my family. I've read that it would help in the petition if we were to provide pictures of us in the ceremony,with family. Will it decrease our chances of getting approved for spouse visa? I just want to make this a personal affair and not my whole hometown's wedding. help please. Cranberries  |
