I am sponsoring my spouse. and already sent all the documents(except Singapore Police report) which CPC-M has already received. My wife stayed 4 yrs in Singapore. And according to CIC website Singapore government does not give Police report without official immigration letter . Our VO is New Delhi. They told us that VO will send official letter to my Wife and She has to submit them to Singapore Police, they will then send police certificate directly to New Delhi, VO

Just wondering how long this whole process will take ? Really appreciate if any can put some light on this ?

Thanks

UCI number is given to you only if you have submitted any visa application for Canada before. If you have applied for tourist visa, you should have one. Was your tourist visa application rejected or not?

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm not sure where to put the letters of support from friends and family, or the Skype conversations and copies of SMS's, etc, since both the sponsorship half and the immigration half of the application ask for evidence that the relationship is genuine/continuing (in both questionnaires). If I think it's pretty likely that I'll be approved to sponsor my husband, would it be smarter to put the evidence mostly in my husband's half of the application? Or should I print of two copies of the Skype convos and SMS's and put one copy in each half?  Or does the Cairo VO look at the whole package, not just the applicant's half? What did other people do?

Many thanks!!

i think u should divide your application in three parts
1. sponsors application
2. applicants application
3. supporting documents
in that case they will check all docs in both offices (mississauga and applicants visa office).
best of luck Smiley

CPC- MISSASAUGA received our documents 2 weeks ago. Our primary mode of communication were email and Skype. As a Evidence of continued contact we only sent email as we did not know that we could send skype - Phone /Chat log print out. We did how ever sent all other evidence mentioned on Proof of relationship to sponsor (check list) like Wedding pictures, Entry / Exit, Tickets etc.

Do you think they will ask us to send Skype (chat / phone log printout) or other documents we sent is enough.

Our VO is New Delhi. We are very anxious and really appreciate if some one can help us with our question

I am 22 years old and I will be getting married this summer in India. I have completed my undergrad and I am planning on doing another undergraduate degree when I return in September. I am planning to move out from my parents house to a one bedroom apartment when I return. Would this affect my sponsorship application for my husband? I have read that I would need to provide income status. I would be taking OSAP to pay for my university. Also, I would need to move out of the house either way because there would be no space for my husband and I to live because my parents live in government housing and there won't be a room for my husband and I to have our privacy.

We are also in the same situation. We put the reference letters from family in the applicant's package only. I think we should have also included a copy of those letters in the sponsor's application and I would advise you to do that. I also would like to know whether they look at both parts of the application. All other evidence such as communication and airline tickets should be in the applicant's part. We also included our marriage certificate in both parts.
good luck!

You should not change the photos in any way but write on the back the names of family, relatives and friends who are in the pictures and their relationship (like cousin, aunt).

You should say in your application that when you and your husband arrive in Canada, your parents will provide a place to live and food and take care of any other expenses until you find your own place to live and a job maybe. You should put that you plan to stay there with your husband at first and include a notarized letter from your parents stating that they will support both of you. Even though there is no minimum income requirement for spouse sponsorship, you need to provide proof that you can support him for the next 3 years. If you do not have a job, you can show your bank statements as proof of financial ability and show job searches (to say you are looking for emplyment).

Hi, my application for TRV was approved. Would you know where in the visa it is located?
In our case they gave us a letter with reasons for rejection and the UCI number was on that. You can look on your visa and see if it is there, or if they gave you any reciept or anything when you applied for tourist visa. If you dont have it, dont worry because they say in the form to only put UCI if you know it. They have all of this informaiton in their system anyway.

Yes it would be better to send everything including skype and phone records if you have them but just wait for New Delhi's response and see if they request more evidence or interview. Only send if they request it (because they will send it back if you send them any additions to your application, as we learned in our case!). If you are called to an interview, bring those records with you to make your case stronger. Also you sent everything else that is needed so it shouldnt cause a problem.
good luck!

Also, New Delhi only recieves applcants part (sponsor file stays in Canada!), so include a letter from the sponsor in applicant's package also showing that the relationship is genuine and continuing.
