Hello Folks.

I have just found this forum and I'm so glad there are people I can talk to about things.

We are currently applying for a common-law permenant visa. My partner is Canadian but living in Scotland with me. We have had the sponsorship application go through successfully and are just waiting on the Permenent Residence Applicaiton status to be completed.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me when the timeline starts from? This is what it says, which is why I am confused:

Sponsorship
We received your application to sponsor ............. on August 17, 2011.

We started processing your application on October 27, 2011.

We sent you a letter on October 27, 2011 about the decision on your application.

THEN

Permanent Residence
We received .......... application for permanent residence on August 17, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

Does anyone know if this means they start processing the Permenent Residence part from August 17th? Or from October 27th?

Just so we can kind of work out when we are looking at moving!

Thanks to everyone for their help.

I checked many times the history my hubby put on his application yes and i noticed that there was a gap and blank on those year ang months. And regarding the IMM 5490 the page2 of the form was missing , now its a lesson to learn that's why CIC asking for a newly completed IMM 5490...this forum help me so much it gives me so much information...thank you

You're welcome. Just give them a new 5490 and a new 5669, make sure they have your husband's original signature where needed, and send everything off again. You will most likely not have to do the entire wait again for sponsorship approval, it will probably be faster this time.

Good luck!

hello there,,,,,,,

I wanted to ask a question regarding my spousal visa application, I have just received an email from CHC-London that my case is pending for a final review by the immigration officer, they asked for a document which has been provided and upon receiving that document they have sent me this email, what will be the next step and what i should be expecting?

thanks

hi, I am doing MSc research in geological sciences ( Enhanced Oil Recovery using CO2) from Durham University UK, almost I will complete in june,2012.I am here on student visa, thats going to expire on aug,2012. i have a 4 yrs bachelor degree in petroleum and gas engineering from U.E.T Lahore Pakistan. I have my fiancee in Pakistan. She recently completed her 4 yrs bachelor degree in telecom engineering. Now we want to settle in Canada. Please give me any route map which suits us both.... which category suits us best. no one of us has work experience of 1 yrs as for no study gap we have until now.but we have both a lot of internships..i don't know what we should do..one case is that she could apply for msc degree on study visa and i should go with her as a dependent (spouse). I will have much chances of getting open work permit...now what will happen when she completed her msc..Huh/ i don't know..pls suggest an optimized case for us ..furthermore, tell me please from which country we should file a visa...from UK or from pak..which suits best..and when we should get married.?..does it affect on our visa.... which one should do MS, she would take MS admission in university of Regina in telecom...while if she does not succeed then i had already admission for master in petroleum engg in Uni of Alberta..which one should do master,,moreover i have an option to do PhD in canada too while i have master degree from Durham university UK.......I am too much confused......Ur suggestions would inevitably attract my admiration..

Anybody pls. help....

Just want to ask about the following questions:

1) No. 4 question (Intended Occupation) under Education/Occupation detail of Generic Application Form IMM 0008 if it has to be filled? Coz I just put N/A since I have not plan yet on what occupation im going to take the time I arrive canada.

2) No.8 question (Personal History) of Schedule A Background Declaration IMM 5669
On the recent occupation I put from February 2011 to December 2011 and im currently working now or do I have to leave it blank instead of putting December 2011 since im still working now?

Pls. enlighten me on this. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Decision made is the last ecas update. You get a ppr via email or snail mail....not through ecas. When ecas changes to meds received, the next thing to look out for is a ppr.
