Hello everybody,

I have a question, everybody is talking about landing date. Does the visa office tell you which date you are allowed to go to Canada for immigration?

You will get a PR visa and it has an expiry date.  You must "land", that is you arrive at the border and do your PR paperwork, before this expiry date.  If you are already in Canada when you get your PR visa, you may have an option to "land" at a local CIC office where you live but you might have to wait for an appointment.  The alternative would be to drive to the US border, cross and come back to Canada as a PR.

Thank you for your answer Leon, its all so complicated. So if I get the approval, I fly to Canada and finish more paperwork there? I applied through a lawyer I guess they will help me with this too right Tongue

I doubt the lawyer will come with you to Canada to help you land unless you give them even more money but don't worry, it is a simple procedure.  You would already have the visa so they give you a paper saying you are now PR and ask you for the address to mail your PR card to.

Correct, for Outland applications, medicals are valid for 12 months from the date done.

These may be silly questions, but I couldn't find anyone stating the same idea, that or I just suck at searching Sad
Would it be so terrible if I paper clipped groups of photos together like each trip has its own group with a little note stating what is going on in the pictures, I know they stated they want them loose, does that still count as loose? (and yes, the back is still labelled with the names of people in the pictures, and date)
I just want to organize them to make it easier..

Also, my husbands photos that he took (the 8 photos), just wish to clear this up one more time, on the back of one picture is his name and date of birth, correct? It doesn't say in the photo appendix, I have just seen people mentioning those photos.

Dears,

I am a PR since 7 years, had renewed my PR card 2 years ago. First when i entered Canada i was single, i got married 5 years ago, but i havent applied for my family yet. my question is :
1- I am now working and living outside Canada , can i apply to sponsor my family so they can go and live there and my self will keep on visiting them every 1-2 months for a week or more but without living and working there ? ....

2- if not, is there anything to do , such as having a small business on my name in Canada run by someone and i keep on visiting Canada every 1-2 months and then i will be able to sponsor my family .

I am actualy in need to stay outside Canada to finish my work contract but in the same time I want for my family to go and settle there before i lose my PR status .

1- No, you can not sponsor your family while you are living outside Canada yourself.  If you were a Canadian citizen, you could.  As a PR, you must be living in Canada to sponsor.

2- No, there are no exceptions for people who own a business.

Having an address in Canada and by going once every 1-2 months and holding a valid PR card wouldnt make me a resident in Canada and able to sponsor my family ?

Going to some country every 1-2 months does not make you a resident there.  If immigration checks up on you and finds that you are not in Canada, they will simply refuse your sponsorship application.  This has even happened to people who really were living in Canada but had gone to visit their family for a few weeks while waiting for their sponsorship application to be processed.

Hello there,

would that be a good idea to submit our new born baby's birth certificate when our application for PR is already in London?
we are planning to submit this with a cover letter!

If you have a new born and your PR application is in process, you must let them know that you have a new baby.  There is no way around that so you should do this as soon as possible.
