Yes - that's normal. They won't confirm that your application has been received. The first communication you'll have from them is a letter to the sponsor about 5-6 weeks after the application has been received confirming they have been approved to sponsor the applicant. Hope this helps!

Thank you!!

Nobody can tell the future.  Just keep watching the website for any changes.  The processing time may be up to 6 months for some countries, shorter or longer for others.

But what if our story is like this?

I came to the US as a tourist, he was a student in US..we met..became "us" ---> not just fling..we are in a Serious relationship..however since my visa was expiring ofcourse I have to go back home..

now he's gonna go back to canada..

:| HOW could we prove our relationship if we need to prove that we lived together or something..and he is at canada and I am here in the Philippines, with out a visa..since Im a nurse...he is just waiting for me to  reach the age of 22 :| (wew i know im young.. please just go with it.) =_=

Is it serious enough to get married?  If yes, then he can sponsor you.

Why is he waiting for you to turn 22?  There is a shortage of nurses in Canada so it should be easier for a nurse to get a job offer and work permit than it is for most other people.

Hi

This is a great thread and im new to this page.
Just a quick question. I sent my passport on March 28, 2011 and on ecas it shows that New Delhi started processing on April 8, 2011. How long does it usually take from the time New Delhi starts processing my spouse application?

Thanks

I take it you didn't receive an AOR from Tokyo?  Nothing that told you what your ID is as the applicant?

Tokyo's timeline is 5 months, you are at that time now.  Perhaps there might be a small delay considering the earthquake?  You are just crossing the timeline threshold, there can't be much more time left to wait.
