You will be taking your child with you to Canada but yes, your husband can sponsor you both, he does not need to adopt him.

There is something I don't understand. When I sat down to the forms, I saw that if I reside here, I should choose the In-Canada application. But that does not seem to mean that my application has to be processed in Canada. I can be legally in Canada and still have my documents processed in my home country. That does not mean I am doing an Outland process. That's what I was also told yesterday.
Now I am totally confused, as Outland seem to need some other documents than I prepare.

Another thing that does not seem right, but I may just not understand it:
if I am in Canada and we decide for Outland, he still has to be approved as a sponsor in Canada (that's what they told me on the info line). Then how come the other visa office is eligible to undermine that decision and ask for another interview? Or maybe I am getting it wrong?

The website is misleading. If you're in Canada, you can always choose the outland route, and it's usually best to do so. This is the application kit you need:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

At CPC-Mississauga (in Canada) the process the sponsorship portion of the application. At the overseas embassy they process the PR portion. The sponsorship portion only assesses his eligibility to sponsor, it does not assess your relationship, or your admissibility. It is usually doubts about the relationship that lead to an interview - and that part is assessed overseas.

Hello everybody,

I mailed my application to Vegreville in the end of July 2010 and when I track the package it shows August 3d as a delivery date. I haven't heard anything from Vegreville yet. Does anybody experienced think I need to be concearned about it? Do they even send any notifications when they get the application? I was thinking about calling them but don't know what phone number I should try.

Any help will be very much appriciated.

Does anyone know if two rejected TRV applications effect a PR application? We had made mistakes on the TRV application and wrote a letter explaining the errors, but we think the VO didn't even read it or even acknowledged it.Are we out of luck now?

At this moment nothing to worry about. Once they start processing your application, they will send you the AIP. Currently they are processing application that are received up to January 19th, 2010.

Hi

I want to know from past experiences if VO asks for remdical, pcc and some updated forms and documents what happens next.  I know they usually do background checks and verify documents lets say that everything is ok is this the last step of the immigration process. Also i read that once the medicals are received they issue the passport request.  I was told it takes rougly 6 weeks before the medicals are in , its past that time now and i check e-cas and its still says in process is this normal or they still haven't received the medicals yet.  I am sponsoring my wife and we are going into the 10th month of processing and i cant wait anymore as its putting a strain on my marriage and life. Please if you can provide some stats about the process it would be great.  And one more thing Iam a canadian citizen if i make a trip to see my wife and decide to go to the embassy and get an update will this hurt the process at anyway or its ok.  thanks and please advise

hi,

I got my first stage approval around the 23rd september from Vegreville for my inland spousal sponsorship.

So, does anyone know how long it may take to get my landing appointment? We live in Newmarket, east of yonge...i believe this makes a difference as to which office deals with my case...

I take it at this point I am free to leave Canada! I have to travel back home very soon and am a little concerned!

Thanks in advance

My wife sponsored me for PR Canada.

Here is my timeline.

July 6th: They received my application
August 8th: They requested me to done my medical
Sept 7th : Sponsorship approved
Sept 9th: They sent my application to Singapore

My question is that how long its gonna take to get my PR visa? My e-cas never updated since sept 7th . How long does it take to update? I emailed them and they told me my case is in pending reivew by a visa officer and if they require more info then they will contact with applicant. But i dont get any update on my e-cas under my PR status. I see N\A under my PR status since 7th sept.
