Hello Guys,
I was told by my friend to register on this forum since it is a great way to connect with other people on the same boat and everyone is very helpful.
I got married in April in India and I came back in May. I took as much documents I needed for the initial application to be sent at Mississauga.
I was still waiting for the photocopies of my spouse's passport to be mailed to me together with other documents when he realized he lost his passport!
He had it in a small bag and was on a motorbike and it fell somewhere and when he went back to check, it wasn't there anymore.
He has already applied for another passport and has began all the necessary processess to secure a new passport. It will take 2 months to get that and it is only then that I am able to send out the application to Mississauga.
HAs anyone ever experienced this? It is so frustrating and annoying but we can't really do much than just wait for like 2 months. In the meantime, i am preparing to complete the application packet so that I am able to send it out once his new passport arrives.
Talk about delay guys!!
I need soothing words and encouragement! I already miss him loads, and having to wait for 2 months plus another 3-4 months of processing is going to be really really hard=(
I just wanted to vent. Thanks.
Hmmm...understand the bad luck but no options and can't fcuk with Ind Govt
Wait for 2 months, get ur partner a new passport and then and apply.. or try applying now and take a huge risk, no harm but when t hey send you your PPR you need to sub it the FIR for lost PP and the new one..so regardless you need a new PP.
Ask him to first get a FIR filed and do all the "to do" in India to get the new passort...
Visa will only be issued on a valid passport...so for that u need a new PP and a FIR to get it.. so don waste time.
All the best
