Hi.. I would like to know .. i have recently sent my Spousal Sponsor application sponsor outside of canada package to CIC Mississauga location. cic received my application on March 15, 2011.. when i go on application status site page. its updated as "working on application received on March 7, 2011" I have not got any response letter acknowledging my application yet. This page is saying takes up to 38 days .. does 38 days counts until now ? or after cic changes status for received March 15 ? Please help if anyone know what happens once you send your app to cic and how many days it should take ??  |

those 38 days tell you that they will process the initial stage of your application in mississauga 38 days after they have received your application. most likely you will hear from them during the last week of april

Girmi which VISA offfice is responsible for your file? and Good luck with everything, You can also try to login to eCAS with the RECEIPT # that starts with R, I was able to login on the 27th of Mar, and my file was approved on 23rd of March - 29 days after they received my file (submitted on Feb 23) DNT2003 Thank you for great help ! |

Mississauga is responsible for my file.. i paid fee online & got the receipt # as of online paid. However i cant check the status with my info on webpage for application status.
I think i should just wait for few more days for reply until my file is sent to New delhi ..
Do you know how long it would take in New delhi after the file is sent there ? My spouse in India had Medical & PCC for passport & normal PCC done ahead of time which was filed in application we submitted in Mississauga.

congrats... so when you say File# did you receive that in India or you got that here in Canada? and was this a Passport Request... or you just received the AOR? hi i have sent my file on 1st week of april n cic m received it on 8 april. their sites says they are taking 41 days so do they count satursday sunday in it or just working days

HI, yes Girmi is right, the processing times is calculated in calendar days it means it includes saturday and sunday. When you check the "Processing Times:Family Sponsorship" it is written at the bottom of the page. |
