Hi Friends,

I applied for my PR under the spousal category from within Canada to CIC Veg.

Details:
CIC-Veg received file in Dec 2006.
CIC-Veg started processing in MArch 2007.
CIC-Veg transferred file to local office in September 2007.
CIC Scarborough- No News yet,

Can anyone please provide details with similar cases at CIC Scarborough.

Hello,

I have similar case like you but I would like to ask if the Scarborough wrote you a letter telling you how long will it take to process your application.

Take care.

Hello,

I also applied within Canada and just to give you an overview of what the local office would do if the file is transferred to their office:

Veg received file: May 2008
Veg Started processing: October 2008
Files transferred to local office Nov 2008
Local office wrote a letter confirming the transfer and advised us to wait up to  11 to 24 mos.

I am still waiting because they said to wait.

Take care.

Kessa

scarborough local office is probably the slowest in all of canada. I think that after the 24 months that they told u have lapsed go on and send a fax to their fax line I heard that they are pretty good about relpying ( maybe they got nothing else to do but sit at the fax) and also contact your local MP. Another good thing to to is to apply for Foss Notes they will give u an idea of whats going on
