Hi!

I just have question.
Is it possible for my father-in-law to sponsor me?
My husband is not eligible to sponsor me as he is a criminal convict.
But can his father sponsor me?

Or is there any other way to become a Canadian resident without going through the visa hassle?
I should add that I am not eligible for the skilled worker visa as I don't have any work experience and I am not a student either so the Study permit is out too..
Both my husband and my father-in-law are Canadian citizens and myself are Swedish.

Thanks!

1.  No, your father in law can't sponsor you.
2.  Is your husband in jail?  Was he convicted of sexual assault or domestic assault?  If not, then he can sponsor.

Okay.

He was convicted of manslaughter, the sentence was completed 2005.

So he can sponsor me then?

As long it was not his wife or another relative.
