What if I can't remember information like:

-What day I started and quit every job
-What day my spouse met my family members or friends? (I'm sure most people do not remember these kinds of things lol)

Thanks!

I believe for jobs, it asks month/year - spend time getting these correct. Call old employers, look at tax records to jog your memory, whatever it takes to get it right.

For friends/family, you can estimate the day, but include a letter of explanation stating you are doing so, and why.

Yes, just get the answers as close as possible. For people I met 10 years ago, my husband and I just put the month (if we even knew that) and the year, with an explanation that the months were guesses.

Canadianwoman,

how about for jobs? I mean I guess it is possible to do some deep researching and find out the exact dates of when I started the job and quit... but can we do as you said with the people we met(only stated the month and year and write an explanation)?

I only entered a month when I was not sure of the date. We've been married 14 years in October -it's impossible to be positive of the date that long ago... you'll be OK. I'm sure that it's more a general scope of your history.

Yes, try to get the exact date, but if it was a long time ago the visa officer will not be surprised or suspicious if you don't know the exact date. Just put the month and year, and explain.

One thing that really helped us with the section about meeting friends/family was emails and photos. We found emails from friends setting up dinner dates etc, and all the photos we take were time-stamped automatically, so it was a case of sifting through old photos to find those from when we met each others friends.

As for jobs, I used my CV/resume to make sure I didn't miss anything. But that assumes that you've written a CV at some point, which some people haven't.

I agree, it's a tough section!
