sponsorship question

Hello, my friend is 19 yrs she came to canada 3yrs ago as a dependent child.  Her stepfather has since remarried and sponsored his new wife who came to canada a few weeks ago.  She would like to marry and sponsor her bf from within canada.  Would the fact that she is still under sponsorship affect this? would she need the stepdad to sign papers?

Nope, she's an adult in all provinces in Canada and can do what she wishes.
