If I applied for sponsorhip inside in Canada.. How long does it take to process my application?

Can I leave the country? and come back without any problem?

If there are no problems it's 5-6 months to get first stage approval and work permit (if you applied for one) and 1-2 years to get PR.  You are advised not to leave Canada during the processing time.

There are two reasons why they would send your file to the local office.

1. You have gotten first stage approval and your local office will contact you at some point to give you your PR.

2. You have been sent to local office without first stage approval because they had some questions about your application and they will contact you at some point to come for an interview so they can question you about the things they had problems with.

Did they send you a letter and if they did, what did it say?

Then call CIC or go to your local office and ask.  If they can't tell you anything, you can order your CAIPS notes which are immigration notes on your case (do a search on this board for CAIPS and you should find something on how to get them).
