Hi,

I have applied for PR for my Parents. Have submitted the sponsorship application in May 2011 to the Mississauga office. Recently, checked the CHC website and they have mentioned about new application form to be sent.

"If your application was submitted prior to July 18, 2011, you must complete the new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) and the Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) as per the instruction in your letter. "

Can anyone let me know if i need to send a new application or wait for their letter and this new application need to be sent to the VISA office once the sponsorship has ben approved.

Thanks for any help that may be provided by experts.

Cheers,
Mongs

My opinion is that the  new IMM0008and 5669  can be submitted to Visa office when your parents need to  submit them on approval of the sponsorship.

It is unlikely they will be admitted for a year initially on a visitor's visa.  The maximum I know of is 6 months for persons arriving on a TRV.
