Sponsorship - dependent child born outside canada

Hi
We had a baby girl which was borne outside Canada. We (me and wife) are permanent residents , however, wife is stucked in pakistan as baby girl is not resident. As part of process, I landed in Canada on 24th June and submitted application for sponsorship on 28th of June 2009. Now the application is in process and most likely it will be opened in first week of August; I have to leave as my daughter who is in Pakistan is very sick and she cannot live without me. I also have requested CIC to prioritize case, the probability is quite low. The following are some apprehensions for which I need advice:
If I leave Canada for a short term period, will it affect the decision? I mean that if the file is opened on 8th / 9th of August, will they reject application?
Shall I need to inform before leaving Canada?
What measures can be taken in order to make it justified like establishing a self employed business or getting enrolled in education program etc.
I already have requested through fax that my case should be handled on priority as my daughter is living all alone.
Please suggest how to move forward.
Regards

Lack of information. You say you and your wife are PR's but then you say that you landed on June 24th. So you became a PR when you landed on June 24th and your wife is not PR yet? Or you were both PR from before but had been away and you just went back to Canada on June 24th?
If you only just became a PR on June 24th, the correct procedure would have been to advise immigration that you have a new baby and add the new baby to your file before landing. Not doing this can result in you not being able to sponsor your daughter.
If you were already PR from before, you still have to be living in Canada to sponsor. You should stay in Canada. I do not see why you say your daughter is all alone. I thought you said your wife is with her? One thing you can do is wait until you are approved as the sponsor of the baby, then apply for the baby's TRV so your wife and baby can join you in Canada. Some people have been able to do it this way.
