Hi my husband is currently a temporary foreign worker at Tim hortons in Alberta as food counter attendant. he has a canadian friend who wants to sponsor him so he could  apply for a permanent resident. His canadian friend is not his employer but owns a business. Can the sponsorship help my husband in applying for a permanet residency?Would that be possible? what are the procedures and requirements and how long will it take? thank you very much...
