sponsorship acceptance notification method and timing

Greetings,
I find myself eager to get my wife of two years here in Canada so that we start our adventure.  I've submitted my sponsorship application and the request for permanent residence visa and await sponsor approval so that my wife can then apply for a temporary visa while we await the decision.  My question is:  Notification of the sponsor approval normally comes via post but my address is SE Asia and I fear it will take forever to get here.  Is there any way that I could get notification by e-mail possibly or some other form of notification that might provide the necessary proof of approved sponsorship?  I eagerly await your replies.

I don't think you will receive notification by email about the approval to sponsor.  patience...
