Sponsoring wife and kid in India

Hi,
I found this forum very helpful.
I am PR of Canada and currently working in USA on H-1 and has NOT filed Canadian immigration for my wife yet.
My specific questions are:
1. Is it possible for me to sponsor my wife's canadian immigration being in USA?
2. Do I have to be physically staying in Canada to do so?
3. Do I have to prove that I am working in Canada to sponsor?
