Iam a canadian citizen living in india since the last 2 and half years. I would like to sponsor my spouse but currently since i live here i dont have a job or anything in canada. my husband is a businessman here. I got my citizenship 2 years ago. i have downloaded the forms from the site but there is a lot of info being asked about my job in canada etc,. Please advise how to go about it and how much time does it take?

As a Canadian citizen, you can sponsor a spouse while you are living outside Canada but you have to convince immigration that you have plans to live in Canada after your spouse gets PR.  It takes 7 weeks to approve sponsorship and after that processing time in India average 4 months, you can look it up on the CIC website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp#asia and that time is if immigration believes your case and has no further questions.  If they want more documents, it will delay you.
