Hi all,

I'm finalising my documents and looking at the check list, the one with "Sponsorship Guides"...

in the last part of the checklist there a few things i don't understand under "sponsored person and family members" part..

- children information? a copy of my child's birth certificate and photos of us with our child right?
- Travel document or Passport? Dumb question but do they want me to send in my passport with my application or what do i need to submit here

I have read the "The Immigration Guide" which has very vague explanations with passports and children information, that's why i've posted on here.

Also please see my checklist below to see what i mean, as a side note, with the checked items would this be a valid checklist to send!?

Thanks in Advance.

With travel documents I think they mean photocopies of passports and any visas you might have for your present country of residence.

Thanks that answer the second question...

I also have an additional question to the first ones, there's a place where it asks me for 8 photos of each family member, passport photos, how do i send in those photos, can i put them in an envalope and send them in that way?

Also on the Application for Permanent Resident in Canada part there's a little box on the top center which says Applicant's photo, do i add a photo there or leave it blank?

just sing the photos with each family member's full name, date of birth an country of birth, the put the into envelope and write word 'photos' on it.

don't stick any photos to application forms - in the visa office they will do it themselves.

Alright, because there was a space on the application for permanent residence form, where it stated to add spouse photo but i though so as well that this would be done by the immigration official.

I put the photos in an envelope and paperclipped them to IMM0008 Generic.

I wasen't as smart, i put them in envalopes as descriped in the region specific photos, so three pairs of photos for each family member, my family members i'm guessing and not my entire family i think and labelled the envalope photos of whom, relationship, DOB and date photo was taken.

I'm sure they'll figure it out regardless... Smiley

This may seem like a silly question (not sure!) but I noticed you didn't check all the boxes, the ones that didn't apply to you I'm assuming. I thought you were supposed to check every box even if it doesn't apply to you? Does that even matter?

Thanks karlshammar! I'm confusing it with the forms (having to include every form even if it doesn't apply to you). Every time I log on, I swear I learn something new or an extra tip, haha!

You don't have to include every form. We didn't include the use of representative forms and others that didn't apply. As long as everything you DO include is checked on the checklist, it's fine. You don't have to send the ones you're not using.

Thanks for the heads up, thanks everyone who replied.

I didn't send the forms that didn't apply to me and of course didn't check them on the checklist since i was not sending in those documents, even though it does state above the form not send in the application if you are not sending all the forms...

The Use of Representative one might be important to send anyway though, because if you don't send it, they might just think you forgot to... however mitamata since you have the experience with it, I'm sure you're right and it ISN'T a problem! I'll just play it safe with that form I think and just put a big ole' X over it! The Common Law one for example I see wouldn't even be necessary if you're applying under the Spousal category, such as myself. I'd imagine the IO could figure that one out no problem ;-)
