Hi,

Myself, My spouse and 1st daughter got our PR in May 2010. My 2nd daughter was born in USA this year Jan, 2011. I was able to carry her into Canada with her US passport.

Now, I wanted to apply her PR. I need some advise on the following.

1. Whats the correct forms?
2. Whats the timeline to get here PR?
3. I live in Ontario. While my 2nd daughter PR is in process. Will i be able to apply for her health card?

Thanks

Hi,

Details  are in the CIC website:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-how.asp

Your daughter will be eligible for her health card of OHIP when she become a PR.

Thanks Wilson. Do my daughter get her Health card immediatly after she receive her PR or does she have to wait another 90days?

If I apply her PR coming monday, whats the minimum and max processing time it would take. As per CIC website its 18 months.

Thanks

You will apply for PR for her outland through Buffalo so the processing time is not 18 months, it is 40 days in Mississauga, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp and then up to 11 months in Buffalo, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp#west

The 11 months is how long it takes to process 80% of cases so your case will likely be much faster because background checks and medicals for a small child will be fast.  However, nobody can tell you exactly how long it will take.
