So far I know, $26,396 income per year is needed to be a sponsor. However, check the following link for more information.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/family.asp

Read the guide:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/5196E.PDF

Thank you.

Low Income Cut-off (LICO):

It depends upon the size of the family unit. As what i have known, they revised the low income this year.

1 person(the sponsor)------21,202
2 persons------------------26,396
3 persons------------------32,450
4 persons------------------39,399
5 persons------------------44,686
6 persons------------------50,397
7 persons------------------56,110

If it is more than 7 persons, for each additional person just add 5,713... That's all I can help for you. By the way Solanah are you from the Philippines? Where in the Philippines? Luzon? Mindanao? I am from Visayas. Hmmmpp!!! Kamusta ka na? Ingatz u
