Hi Everybody,

I am wondering if there is a way to sponsor your parent from within Canada.
Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

After 26 months, you get the answer if you are approved as a sponsor.  If you are, the file goes to the visa office for more processing.  At http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#n1 you can see the explanation of the 26 months, first stage only.  To see the processing time for the 2nd stage, look at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/08-fc-parents.asp
