Sponsoring my son

Hi,
I have been very confused and I have been getting different information from different resources. I was hoping someone could help me with my question:

I am a Canadian Permanent resident and I came to India in 2009. I gave birth to a son last year and now I want to go back to Canada with my son.
I was told that I need to sponsor my son but I am not sure where I need to file the case.
Do I have to go back to Canada and file from there or can I file from India. I was told that I need to send forms to Mississauga Case processing center. My cousin inquired on my behalf and immigration Canada told him that I need to come back to Canada and leave my child in India. I need to apply from within Canada.

Can someone please lead me to the right direction.

As a permanent resident you need to be residing in Canada to sponsor your son,  it's a requirement that is quite serious.  You can try to apply for a trv for your son to travel to Canada but it will most likely be denied.
