Hi,

I'm sponsoring my parents and I specified that my dad is the principal applicant and that my mom is a dependent applicant to my dad. Is this correct?

Or should it be that my dad and mom are both principal applicants?

Thanks.

Either or, it doesn't matter but you can only have 1 principal applicant.

Thanks for the reply. The reason why I asked this is because the Case Processing Center in Mississauga wants me to resubmit my entire application because my mom is a principal applicant although in my document it is my dad who is a principal applicant.

Since I am in the US and cannot call the toll free number, can I just send them a letter explaining that my dad is the principal applicant and my mom is just the dependent? Is this a good option?

Re do the forms so they are consistent.  You realize of course that you have to resident in Canada to sponsor your parents.
