Hello,

I am very new to all of this..

Can my husband (we are both Canadian citizens) sponsor his mother-in-law (my mother) to immigrate to Canada or does it HAVE to be me, her daughter? The reason I ask is because I am not employed at the time (staying home with a child) while my husband has a good job and income.

Thank you for your advice,

You sponsor and your husband cosigns the application.

Hello,

Call the 888 number to varify but you are the one that needs to sponsor your parent, but since you are married and your husband is the financial provider for your family then as long as your household income meets the financial requirements you shouldn't have a problem. Provide your income tax information.

Good luck
