Scoobet and Hibiscus:

Mabrouk, Mabrouk, wa alf Mabrouk (congratulation, congratulation, and a thousand congratulations),

It is time for celebrating and rejoicing. After the long and painful wait, the gift of being together is just around the corner.

Hind and I were very happy and excited to hear that you have finally been given a date to receive your permanent visa status.

Hibiscus: Leaving together on the same plane would be a lot of fun I am sure. but they don't have the same coffee. We have to stop at the cafe and have our promised cup of coffee first.

Scoobet: Why don't you fly to Morocco and defrost for a little while before you bring Hibiscus to Canada.

Again, congratulations, and wish you the best. May God (Allah) bless your marriage.

congratulations hibiscus and scoobet!  can i ask exactly how long you waited?  i believe it was more than 6 months that the embassy had your paperwork, am i right?  if so, that's terrible and i'm really happy for you that all that stress of waiting has disappeared now that you are ready to pick up the visa in a few weeks.  here's to a life together!!  much happiness to you both.

hey everyone,

those of you who posted your case on the immigration tracking page (trackitt.com), please try to remember to update your status.  it's super helpful to have a list of some rabat cases and the timeframes in one place.  i'm sure it's the last thing on your mind once you get the interview, visa etc. but if you can take a couple of seconds, i'm sure all of us who are still waiting would really appreciate it!  i know i would : )

those of you who don't know what i'm talking about, go to this page:http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class/ and add your case.  you can search by visa office in order to see a number of cases that are active or have been completed as well, to get a sense of how long each step has taken.  good info!

Hi everyone. Thank you for your warm wishes to us. Rabat had our papers June 12. As of Jan 12 it is 7 months for them to finish everything there.  He picks up his visa on Feb 13. And yes Adel I would love to go to Morocco and thaw for a while. It was extremly cold here as you know from watching the TV. But this weekend it is warmer. I am not able to go back to Morocco. So I will wait till he arrives in Montreal and I will pick him up there. Then we will travel back to Manitoba where my family is waiting to welcome him with open arms. Then we are planning a gathering here for all my family in August. I have one sister in Alberta and one brother in BC on the Island. So they will be coming also. The rest of my family is here in Manitoba. After he travels here we will post how his jouney was so others can have some information as to how things went through customs. If there are any questions please feel free to ask as we will tell you what we can to help. Penny thank you so much for starting this forum. Adel said it well when he wrote to you. Our words can not express our feelings for this forum enough. Having others just to talk to or read some news helps get through the day when we are feeling so low. This forum gives us all hope and helpful information as to the processs of things. And as far as I can see yours is the most read of all the topics. I have called Mornie and told her the good news. And we plan to get together with her and Rachid when my husband arrives. So thank you all for helping us get through this distance. May God bless  you and help your wait to be shorter than ours. ......Scoobet

Mabrouk Hibiscus & Scoobet!  I'm so happy your wait is almost over!  Insha'Allah you will be able to start your lives together very soon.  May Allah shower his blessings on you as you begin your lives together and always.  Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.  It has certainly made our burdens a little easier to bear having a glimpse of what is to come Insha'Allah

Hind & Adel : I am so happy for both of you. Finally very soon both of you will be together and Hind will get to see this wonderful country we call Canada. Please pray a little harder for me and Zahra so that we get to hear the lovely sound of the phone ringing and find the Embassy on the other line telling us that the VISA is ready. Inshallah as soon as Zahra gets the phone call , I will be on my way to Morocco. If I am lucky , we might get to meet each other in Safi. If it wasn't for the several trips that I took to come to Morocco , this many months of waiting would have driven me crazy.

Scoobet & Hibiscus : It seems that your case and ours have followed nearly the same timeframe. I am so glad to hear that finally your wait is over and hope our wait is also nearly over. I have been to Safi many times on my trip to Morocco and God willing , maybe we might get to meet each other in Safi prior to your trip to Canada. Wishing you all the best and ask you also to pray for us that we get our call from the Embassy very soon. Cannot wait any longer. I think from all the Forum members we seem to have waited the longest.

To All my other Forum Members: I pray to God that the waiting period that my wife and I are going through does not repeat to anyone else. I pray that your process takes much shorter time than ours. One thing that I have learnt from this experience is that we humans can control our life to a point but the final decision maker is up in sky.

Salaam Brother Mubarak:

We were very happy to get the date for Hind's interview and receive the visa in such a short period of time after the long and arduous wait, so I understand and feel the pain that you must be going through. The truth is our happiness will be complete when we hear that couples who have waited like us or longer receive their final call from the Embassy. People like you and Zahra, Hibiscus and Scoobet. The latter have received their date to pick up the Visa. That leaves you and Zahra to complete our happiness.

Brother Mubarak, I just finished praying and asked Allah to have mercy on you, to soften the hearts of the people that control your sanity and to unite you and your wife Zahra within a blink of an eye. All I can recommend at this time is that you keep your faith strong and ask Allah daily for his help.

I hope you are emailing the embassy as well to let them know about your concern with the delay and would like an end to this application.

It would be a pleasure to meet up in Safi. I hope you will hear from them this week and see you there next week. We can all meet up for at least a cup of coffee before Hibiscus takes off.

I also hope that the waiting period will be lessened this year for those of you who are still waiting, couples like sister Noona and Brother Ameen.

Best of luck and God Bless
Adel & Hind
