I feel sorry for all of you who are left in the dark and still waiting. I am in a good position to say that the visa office in Rabat is "messed up". I hope you will all have a happy ending soon! As for me, I am back to square one and I face uncertainty regarding my future. Yes, chocolate helps lol... dark chocolate! Have you tried chocolate fondue? My son and I have it often

So I take it rescuing that hard drive didn't work out?
They can rescue the harddrive... they hope anyway... but they think the mother board is gone.. So I am just going to get a new tower and my coworker will hook up the harddrive so I can get my files off of it on to the new computer.

Oh, yeah, don't know a lot about computers but I believe the motherboard is basically most of the cost. Have you considered getting a laptop instead? They can rescue the harddrive... they hope anyway... but they think the mother board is gone..

I dont want a laptop... for me it is not convenient... I don't go anywhere that I would use it. And if they fry they are basically done... at least with a pc there is a possibility of fixing it or getting parts for it. I know some people swear by them... but honestly when I think about it realistically. I never go anywhere that I would need to take it with me. And I am on a computer enough as it is... I would rather leave the dang thing at home and have a break... LOL

God bless my husband...... I sent him the link to the page he needs to print out and sign so I can order the GCMS notes. I explained that you just need to click on the link and it will open the page and you print it from there. Yea... not so successful. The guy can make anything from wood you want. And can paint anything you want. But forget it when it comes to computers.... haha Serious FAIL. So off to email him a scanned copy of the page... LOL Well... another week down... who knows how many more to go. Have a good weekend everyone!!

Back to square one? I hope it is just a bad day and not something serious. Try not to let the bad thoughts in. The appeal is in no way square one...from my understanding most cases where MOC is suspected are won on appeal. So have a little more chocolate and try to stay strong Habibti! Lynn

Oops, I totally missed the "back to square one" part before locolynn mentioned it. How can you possibly be back at square one when you seemingly have such a strong case about how your file was handled, *cough*, mis-handled, by the immigration officer working on it at Rabat?

What I meant by "square one" is that my husband should be here with me by now and have a life together. We have to wait a year to go to appeal. Then, resubmit application for visa. So much time wasted! Do you know that game with the snakes and the ladders? This is how I feel, I hit a snake and went all the way down. Lots of people are close to the arrival line (to get their PPR or their visa stamped), we are FAR from the arrival line. I have to work extra hours again to pay for the appeal and another trip to Morocco this summer. I thought I was done with going to Morocco. I thought we would have a life here in Canada by now. I feel I am stagnating. I feel that my husband and I are going back to the old days... being away from each other and just visiting him whenever I have some vacation.
I feel I DON'T have a normal life yet! I start working in the library at 8:30 am. I finish work at 3:15 pm. I have students for private tutoring until 7:00 pm. Then, I go home and work for this website for languages until midnight. I get up the following morning to start working on this website again at 6 (sometimes 5:30) before going to work at the library. Saturdays and Sundays I start working for this language website at 8:00 am and finish working at 11:00 pm. It is on and on and on and on.... Why? Because this whole thing is creating more and more debts. If my husband was here, I would not have to work this insane schedule.

Oh I just got a flashback to "chutes and ladders" during childhood. Didn't really play it but I can see how you use that as an analogy to what you're going through. Habibti, I can't imagine how hard it is for you. We're all behind you here and supporting you. If you believe in your marriage, you gotta do what you gotta do and fight this. I hope at least when you go to Morocco you will be given a chance to take the rest you deserve and people will wait on you hand and foot What point are you at right now in preparing for the appeal hearing? I'm assuming a date hasn't been set. Are you going to be going straight to appeal or mediation first? When I am in Morocco, I intend to work for this language website, but there will be no library work, no tutoring work. And yes, I will have more opportunities to rest and have fun once I am there. I am planning to leave on June 29 and come back first week of September when classes start. On Sunday, I will meet with **spam**. She will have a look at our application. I guess it is only around March or April I will know if I am selected for ADR.

So I presume that you're not eligible to claim a refund of the $490 you paid for the RPRF fee by virtue of the fact that you're appealing the denial? Although I still don't understand how they were within their right to ask for the landing fee when they were going to deny him the visa and the opportunity to land in the first place. Just wonderin'. Bet that money could come in handy for you these days. Thank you for being behind me and supporting me! You are right. I don't ask reimbursement of the $490 since I am going to appeal the denial. I don't understand either why they asked my husband (on June 27) to ask me to pay for visa as he might come to Canada with me after my visit to him. That's ok... this money will have a purpose later. When I win my appeal... the visa fees will be already paid
