When I woke up this morning, there was an email from my husband and here is a paragraph of what he wrote:

She told me ‘'I don't believe you want to live with your wife and that you'll leave her once you're there'' I was shocked when she said that, and I explained to her that I want to live with my wife and that we love each other, that I don't find myself with girls my age or younger than me and even my friends (men) are older than me they are my teachers or the friends of my father. That I might get married with a woman from my country sharing the same religion the same age but I might have issues with her, and that with every woman there is a sort of joys and challenges and I decided to have these joys and challenges with my wife. She insisted on the age difference, I gave her the example of people with age difference.

Locolynn

Yes, I am glad to see he is passed the shock, but remains very sad.  He told me he is going to wait 2 more years and possibly I will visit him this summer.

Yes, I am going to appeal even if I dislike the idea very much.  Since when do we have to appeal to be with your spouse???  Marriage is something between God and two spouses!

I was fine and felt strong last night and this morning until I talked with my husband on msn this afternoon.  After I signed out I felt depressed and I went to bed.  I just woke up and I feel very low.  There are times I feel dead.  I have been missing my husband so very much and the idea to spend my nights for the next 2 years with a teddy bear wearing my husband's t-shirt... anyway it is not my idea of a marriage.

Thank you very much for taking the time to bring me some words of comfort.  Each day is a living nightmare.  Since yesterday afternoon I am like a zombie, barely eating, not taking care of myself like for example brushing my hair.  I CANNOT imagine I won't see my husband before July!  And I don't know if we will win the appeal.  That is scary.

My daughter just married a resident of Morocco. We love him! My husband and I both attended the wedding, and met his wonderful family. We returned to Canada and our daughter sent in all their papers (both hers and his), plus all the necessary documents and photos to Immigration at the end of February/07. How long do you think it will take for him to get permission to come here. They are miserable living separately and we are waiting patiently for permission for him to come to Canada. We understand that Immigration here, has to send the papers to Rabat in Morocco after they are finished with them in Canada (Ontario). Would you give us an idea how long it will take for everything to go through? Thanks for you time.

Hi, my name is Linda and I just married my husband 4 months ago from Morocco. I went there to see him in the summer of 2011 and I couldn't be any happier. I'm trying to talk to people who are trying to get their husbands here from Morocco to Canada. Can you please help me or give me advice on what to do. We have all our emails, letters, pictures, everything. It has been really hard for both of us for our separation and we both want to be with each other. We talk every day on the computer and phone. Please any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, wow, I was confused because you wrote "my sponsor" (or am I dreaming?) and djinna kinda sounded Algerian because of the "dj" spelling. Well you guys sure don't have any "age issues," so at least CIC can't jump on you about that! Best of luck.

Hi, i dont remember what i wrote before but im sorry for the confusion. For the name, i should i just wrote Jinna cuz it means Paradise in Arabic. but i dont know about if 'dj' is Algerian... I hope it will work out and the CIC will accept it in sha Allah.
Thanks again Smiley

Habibiti,

look you have pick yourself up ...unfortunately u have no choice .....you have to continue and day by day .......look i think that you should take another plunge and take the shot i know its very hard but do the appeal and then if u win great ..if u dont then you shall see what to do when that comes...you will assess the situation at that time for now just focus on the appeal and your visit and it will go by fast....

A question about the interview ...did your husband have this older lady with glasses?

I know what u mean about being a zombie i was blaming everything and everybondy when we got refused but u pick yourself up ...i was thinking i can get married here after knowing the person 1hour but now im with someone far away and we really fell in love and im married and proof of financial..pics...emails...phone bills....and refuses just like that .....but what the hell can u do ......
Encourage yourself and try to encourage ur husband too.....

Seems a lot of bad news from Rabat lately...wonder if they met their quota for 2011 and have to wait till the new year now before considering anyone again.

Kinda like the opposite of cops and their month end quotas of speeding tickets.  Roll Eyes

Thank you vjamal!  You are quite right!

My husband told me it was a young woman.  The thing I am at a loss about is that she seemed very pleased and convinced about his answers.  Deep down... I have a feeling a mix-up occurred.  This is what my intuition tells me.  After all... my husband received the refusal letter 8 weeks after the interview... everything could have happened between the interview on September 12 and the refusal letter written on November 4.

That's funny!  I was thinking exactly the same thing today!  As we are almost at the end of the year...
