Hi everyone,
I am back home now and missing my son-in-law and daughters. I have been reading all your mpostings. So you all have been sponsored but waiting now for the interview? I am so happy for you all and can understand how impatient you are about the wait. Soon, inchallah! Now, who is going to be living close to Winnipeg? Mornie and her Rachid came to Winnipeg for a day and we all met them. We had a nice visit together. They are moving there, and it was nice for my Rachid and Christina to meet them. While I was in Winnipeg, I took Rachid for his Social Insurance Card, Medical card, and around the city collecting job applications. Rachid had his English assessed, and is now on a waiting list for classes. I couldn't believe all the immigrants in Winnipeg! It was so good to see. Rachid is doing very well, but misses his family as you can imagine. It will be better when he can work, then it will keep his mind busy. For your information, the Moroccan driver's license is good for 3 months here. After that, you have to take a written test, and then a driver's test. I think it's kind of strange that they let you drive for three months, and then take a written test to see if you know the signs!
Well, keep in touch. I will keep checking to see how you are doing.

Hi Penny. Glad to hear you are back and all went well. Good to know about the driver's licence as my husband will go through the same as Rachid. I am glad Mornie will move to the city. I gave her my phone number to contact me when she arrives and gets settled. It will be n ice to meet her and her husband. Ramadan is almost over now so I hope we hear something soon.  I think there is a possibility that Nooda and my husband will have their interveiw on the same day. Our applications were closer in time frame. Then we can continue our life as we started in Morocco. The distance is difficult but at least we can talk every night on Msn and Yahoo. Hope all had a good Thanksgiving. As soon as I hear anything I will post it. Bye for now...Scoobet..

Hi All:

Well I will give an update.  I am hoping that my sponsorship application will be started next week.  They received my application 4 days after the current processing date.  I am getting excited.  If I could get one hurdle done, I would feel much better.

Raven - great to chat with you and I love your wedding photos.  It is nice to finally put a name and a face together for you and Adam.

I just booked my plane ticket for Marrakech last week.  Got the apartment rented for the trip.  70 days and counting....I am anxious to see my hubby and equally as anxious to take a month long break from work.

Hope everyone else is doing fine.  I will keep everyone posted when I hear about the sponsorship part.

Becca

Hi Becca,

You should be getting that letter any day now.  I'm excited for you, it was nice to get that part done and over with.

When are you leaving?  I'm going to Morocco the end of Dec.  I haven't booked anything yet, since we'd both be flying out of YYZ maybe we can keep each other company :-)

Let me know what you think!

Hi Cindy,

I am flying off to Marrakech from Vancouver direct (well almost direct - I transfer planes in London) on the night of the 25th and arrive in Marrakech on the evening of the 26th.

I will be in Essaouira for a few days and then the remainder of the 4 weeks in Marrakech.   I don't know where exactly you will be going, but if  you're in Marrakech we can always meet up.

I am counting down the days till I hear something from Immigration, I just want my hubby here!!

Take care,

Rebecca
