thanks:) so its a must to bring a friend or a translator lol for 1 question then. !! by the way u meant the judge in the court or judge the adoul?.dont know if i can find a translator or friend who can do this for me,im bit worried about this,,about police do they interview u both or seperately?

The judge for the court.  You will need a translator with you also when you do the marriage contract with the Adul.  No interviews were done separately.  We had to pay the police baksheesh!  It was easy when we did that.

We had an interview together at the police station only, We did not have an interview with any judge.

We did not have a translator, but maybe because I can also speak french.

Good luck with everything.

Hi everyone. My husband who's sponsoring me is also Moroccan (from Oued-zem) but he's a Canadian citizen. So hi fellow Moroccan community   Smiley I'm American but Russian-born. Just wanted to mention that I bet Montreal has one of the highest (if not the highest) concentrations of Moroccans living in the country, so if it's important to you to be among the Moroccan community, definitely consider Quebec as a provincial destination. I just sent my application in so we'll see how it goes.

For us it was simply an interview with the police. Not with the judge. The police never asked me any questions, only my husband. For the adul I could have used a translator but in the end I understand enough french that it was sufficient for him.

We did have to pay baksheesh to the police as well.

Also, we had someone at the courthouse in Kenitra recommended by our adul (can't remember his name off hand) he went around with us to the tribunal and directed us through everything. In the court house he took our papers and had everything done in about 15 min. We paid him about 150 Dh in all. He is not a professional...he is simply someone that knows the process and the people to see and helps people like ourselves and you give him some money at the end of the day.

I know this is strictly a personal experience but if you can get as much done ahead of time ie: getting her papers translated, knowing the route and buildings where you need to go, asking the adul if there is someone that can help you in the courthouse etc these things will help you speed the process up. Unless you have a couple months to just take time and relax about it of course...LOL

Wishing all the best to everyone...I am happy to say the application will be sent off this week  Grin

Hello Hayati,

I am so happy to meet an "immigration twin"! lol  It is amazing to know we share the same dates!!!

No...  no news Sad

Every week I check our status on the website of Immigration Canada and it is always the same message:
"We received (my husband's name) application for permanent residence on March 31, 2011."

Nothing else since then... Sad

Please tell me more about your case.  You are canadian?  You are a woman?  Where in Canada are you?  Where is your husband?   You can reply here or email me:  genevieveanne @ hotmail.com

I bought airfare to see my husband in July, just before Ramadan.  It puts me in a difficult financial situation, but we miss each other too much and the last time we saw each other was in December.  I heard that it takes at least 10 months for the visa office in Rabat to process an application.  Maybe more...  That is why I am going to Morocco in July because it is my vacation month and we don't want to stay separate too long.

All the best!  And I am anxious to know more about your case!

Hi everyone, I know it has been along time since I have been on here the last you heard is that my husband and I got refused, we appealed and we won it only took 4 yrs.  But the minute he got his visa he went to another woman he only used me for to get into canada.  I hope and wish nobody else has the pain I am in now, for how him and his family treated me and my family they think I should be good with what he is doing to me. Take care everyone

That is such a sad story!  A tragic one!  My heart goes out to you!  Life has a pendulum... my only hope is that very good things will come your way to compensate all your suffering.

It really took 4 YEARS to win an appeal???  And I forgot to ask you.... what was the reason for the refusal?  Relationship not genuine?
