Hi All,
No visa news for me. However I do have some happy news. My super supportive family is sending me to morocco to visit Karim. It's been over a year since we've seen each other and in 10 days we'll be together again - if only for a week. In my dreams he'll get his visa while i'm there and we'll come back to Canada together.

hi everybody i'm zak from morocco ,my fiancee from Alberta is coming to morocco in November and we are going to get married but we have a problem which is my fiancee was caught drunk while she was driving 5 or 6 ago and she needs 18 month to get pardon. i'm scared if Moroccan authorities would prevent us to get married because of her criminal record. please let me know if you have any idea or suggestions . thank you zak

Salam alaikum everyone...
I was just wondering - once we hit the "7 month" mark, without an interview... do you think we should email them or get the MP to do it? Or just wait? I am a bit anxious becuase of my pregnancy... and his Medical expires end of November...
Do you think it would help or just slow things down?

Thank you so much, I will be going to join my Husband so that we may come back together 2 more weeks to go. It's his first trip, and there is no way I would miss sharing it with him. Finally when I leave Morocco I won't be leaving alone. I'm so happy that everything is going well or you. I wish you a long and happy marriage. I wish the best for everyone

Hi, Things are really slow in Rabat because of the summer vacation time. On another site people have not been getting there calls either for the interview. There are many people from January, February, and so on that are still waiting. Many send Emails, but there has not been any responses to them, or just a generic response. All are hoping that things will pick up after vacation time, and after the student and visitor Visas slow down. Good luck and God bless

Don't trust ECAS. It may never update until you land in Canada. People usually receive communication by mail for CIC before online status is even updated.
As far as how long, the whole process can take up to 7 months once the paper get to Rabat. In some cases even more. So, nothing you can really do but sit back, be patient and wait.
good luck.
