My husband just told me that the visa officer told him this after the interview:  "Either you will receive by mail a refusal letter in 2 months OR we will call you in 4 months to pick up the visa".  So next week it is going to be 2 months since the interview.  We prefer to wait another 7 to 10 days to have an idea of their decision.  Thanks a lot for your concerns.

While it's obviously easier to get them if you're the PA and inside Canada, it's not that hard for someone who doesn't fit that profile to order them. You just need to fill out the three following forms, the third one being filled out by the PA (it should look familiar, as that was part of the outland application package):

(the 3 forms)

You can even choose to email them to atip-aiprp   @   cic.gc.ca.

FYI - these are MUCH better than e-CAS.

Hi, i never saw those forms before and i didnt understand them when i read them... can you please help me understand what they stand for... im applying for my husband from Morroco.
thanks

In order, they are:

Access to Information and Personal Information Request Form (IMM 5563)
Release of Information to an Individual Form (IMM 5475)
Access to information and privacy - Credit Card Payment Form (IMM 5667)

The first form is the one where you actually request the GCMS (Global Case Management System) notes. They're essentially computer screenprints of your file and the progress on it that the ATIP office compiles on your behalf. If you have more questions, check out http://immipedia.ca/Ordering_FOSS_and_CAIPS_notes and the acronyms page on Immipedia.

Well, no, you don't "need" it, it's purely optional. You don't really need e-cas either, as it's not like you won't be informed of CIC's decision another way. But like I said, GCMS notes are much much more useful than e-cas as far knowing about your application.

I just checked CIC and the processing time for Rabat is now 8 months instead of 9 months.  Very good news, isn't?  We have just started our 8th month on October 31!  If we are approved, then visa could be ready for early December!  It has been 7 weeks and 2 days since the interview...

Oh yes, totally forgot about the October 27th update. Well, good for Morocco. My VO is at the same 11 months.  Roll Eyes I really feel bad for the (few) people who have to go through Abu Dhabi. And is it just me or does it seem like that sponsorship approval portion's processing time been at "working on applications received August 15" for a while now?

Thanks for answering! I appreciate Smiley
I wanna know is there a limit where you can send picture like how much is too much?? and of course not any type of pictures but how much can you send?? Also, you always renew skype and therefore you forgot to save the previous message but do you say it to the immigration or you just give as much as you can to show that your relationship is genuine??
Thanks

Not sure I completely understand your question or the context of it. From asking about how to order GCMS notes, I was under the impression your application had already been filed and was at the Rabat visa office......so what's your personal situation? Are you still working on putting together the application, i.e. the relationship evidence portion of it?
