I am getting married in October to my fiance who lives in dominican republic.  the CIC website states that the processing time is 19 months. is that true. i am really worried after seeing that.
any tips on how to speed the process by filling out any particular applications and taking there.  will i have to do anything on my part when i am in dominican republic.

The 19 months is the average processing time for 80% of the applicants, so most get done faster than that.
