Being married with a child you are no longer a dependent child of your mother's. Nor is your husband a dependent child of his father. I suspect you two would need to get here on your own merits.
How did your father-in-law sponsor your mother?

You are no longer a dependent child. You'll have to qualify for immigration independently.

I will tell you this elightened members, if you read cic thoroughly you will see that a child even over 22 and married is considered dependant if he is full time student and depends substentially On the parent! So i am consideres dependant! And as for father in, dude really? How do you think sponsorship works? They got married and he sponsord her! Please only people who are knowlegable about this!!!

I think you don't understand what a father-in-law is! It sounds like he is your STEP-FATHER, not your father in law. Your father in law would be your wife's father!

Hi Maple man, According to CIC website, to be a sponsor, your mother must provide financial support to you for 10 years, or until you turns 25, whichever comes first. She has to proove it while sponsoring.
You already stated what CIC says about Dependent children: A son or daughter is dependent when the child:is under the age of 22 and does not have a spouse or common-law partner;
is over the age of 22 and has been continuously enrolled as a full-time student and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22.

My bad guys! You are right i confused that one! Yes he is my step father!! Sorry! As far as i can figure out she would be able to sponsor me if did not have a child! I mean she wouldnt have to show her income! But since i do have a child that option falls off! She just got here so that is why it is such a big probkem with showing finansial support and my father in law income only 35000 a year! And no i didnt get medical because at that time i didnt know it was possible!

But if you were her dependent child when she applied for a PR visa, you should have been medically examined, and usually the visa office insists on this. Did she declare you as her dependent child at the time? If not, she must have listed you as her child, right? If you were not declared on her forms and medically examined, she won't be able to sponsor you now.

Married with spouse and child? I think that CHC is going to find her no longer dependent.
