Sponsoring a us citizen child and spouse

Hello, I am a canadian citizen residing in the US with my husband of over a year and my daughter of 11 years of age from a previous relationship.  They are both US citizens and we plan to move to canada as soon as they receive their resident status or in my daughters case her citizenship status.  I currently work in canada and commute everyday.  My questions are the following:
-The forms I looked up online are very complicated and there are certain information required that I do not have,  for example the birthdate of my ex husband to whom I was married to when I was 16 in Greece and whom I divorced when I was 18 in Canada.  Do I need to complete all the listed forms?
-Should I send 2 different applications? One for my spouse and one for my daughter?
-Would the application process be easier for me if I hire an attorney?

1. Read Leon's post regarding spousal sponsorship in the thread at the top.  It'll give you a good idea of the process.

2. You don't need to sponsor your daughter, she's a citizen of Canada through you, so once you have her citizenship papers, she's done.  You only need to sponsor your husband.

3.  Take your time reading the forms, they can seem overwhelming at first go, and you might need to read them more than once.

4. You will want to get started on applying for your husband's FBI report.  It takes anywhere from 4-10 weeks (I know the website says 12-16 but they are doing better than that lately).  Look here:
